Sorry to say your LCD screen is cracked, it happens a lot with the Sony DSLR-A300 and A350. The solution is to remove the cracked LCD and replace it with a new one. The repair isn't that difficult, but you have to be careful removing the LCD or you will break a latch holds two FPC cables together and then will have to replace yet another part that takes MUCH more labor.
I did a Google search for "sony a300 lcd repair" and at #2 I saw an online digital camera repair shop that has done tons of this repair over the last few years.
Hope this helps!

I am sorry to hear regarding this Problem. If you are good at Repairing electronics, you could Fix that. But, the Main Problem is LCD Screen. Sony Does not allow the Screen to be Sold Separately and they would charge around $125 - $150 to get the Screen Fixed.
The You-Tube video is useful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP0Yr4YXM9Y Care must be taken when removing the ribbon-cable connector from its mating half on the camera ribbon-cable. The black strip on the mating connector has to be flipped back, away from the display ribbon, to release the display ribbon. Then after locating the new ribbon fully home, the same black strip has to be flipped forward in the direction of the display ribbon and pressed down to clamp this connector in place. All this is shown, but quickly in the video. Do not touch the bare surface of the new display or the inside surface of the removed display protective surface which has an optical coating which easly shows fingerprints.
This is a common problem with this camera and it needs to be sent back to Fuji for repair.I've been through it three times and then they replaced the A350 with an A400 and now I'm having the same problems with the A400. They want to swap it with a E500. Both of these replacements are less of a camera then the A350. If they won't repair it under warranty I suggest you stay away from Fuji cameras in the future,I know I will never buy one again
