Dvd burner doesn't work

Hi, first I'm sorry for my english but isn't my tongue. I have a problem with the lg hl dt st dvdram gsa-t20n dvd burner on my acer aspire 5920g. When I put in the drive a dvd, the pc recognize it as a cd and then it can't burn the dvd. I tried to re-install the drivers for the LG drive but nothing happened. Anyone can help me, please?? bye

Hello,

Please try to clean your DVD Writer using a disk cleaner then try a couple of new dvd disk. Also try to install Nero application to help you write a dvd and cd files, movie, and music. If it does not help the problem then i recommend contact a technician or the supplier of the Unit and let them fix for you.

Thanks
