I'LL MAKE THIS VERY EASY FOR YOU, IT WILL ONLY COST YOU ABOUT $25 MAYBE LESS. JUST GET A WIRE HARNESS FOR YOUR CAR, PEPBOYS OR ANY AUTO STORE, JUST TELL THEM THE YEAR AND THE MAKE OF YOUR CAR AND YOU WILL BE SET, THE WIRING IS COLOR CODED, MAKE SURE THE HARNESS CONNECTS TO YOUR FACTORY HARNESS.

Im tring to match up this radio wireing to a chrysler lhs i need to know what colors go to what the kenwood krc 235 wire to the chrylser car wireing (red to pink blue to orange like that)

I recommend you purchase a wiring harness specific for that vehicle instead of trying to hardwire it. You run the risk of frying your entire electrical system if you do. Wiring harnesses are about $7-$20. Plus, it takes the guesswork out of wiring. Visit www.crutchfield.com if you are looking for one.

How do i connect a kenwood krc 394 radio cassette,+ve battery, eth, and speaker connections.

Head unit color code:

12V-Yellow
12V switched-Red
Ground-Black
Illumination or Dimmer-Orange/Orange w/white stripe
Blue-Power Antenna
Blue wwhite stripe-Amp turn on

Whites-FL speaker
Greys-FR speaker
Greens-RL speaker
Purples-RR speaker
(Black stripes negative)

If you have a female harness to connect to the veicle side you will pretty much color match. The only exception is that you may only have an amp turn on wire but only a power antenna on the vehicle. In this case you would connect blue w/white stripe wire from radio harness to the blue antenna wire on the vehicle side.

If you are doing a hardwire (factory plug has been cut off) you can obtain a wiring code for your vehicle at www.the12volt.com for most vehicles.

I have an old Kenwood KRC 2001 cassette radio which I would like to fit to a car just bought by my daughter but it has no electric/speaker connector. Can anyone please tell me what output/input each of the...

red is battery. some have two red wires, but they are both battery(12 volts). it is a switchable 12 volts which means it comes on when you start car. yellow is a constant 12 volts. it is for memory. blue is for power antenna(ive never used it. i keep blue wire disconnected) then you have the set of colored wires like green and gray stripe. those are speaker wires. match it with its other color coded wire. example.....brown with yellow stripe wire goes with the brown wire to connect speaker. enjoy

I have a kenwood krc-557l and dont know what wires are what...

Red is "Key on Pwr"
Yellow is "Constant Hot" always powered
Black is "Ground"
Blue is "Pwr antenna or amplifier remote turn on"

This is tapping my memory a little, however, I believe stripe is positive on Kenwood and solid is negative. The easiest way to test spkr wiring is to connect your pwr, gnd, etc. then make sure all other wires are individually taped barring one. Use any speaker, turn on the radio, connect one wire to pos & one to neg on spkr, look at the cone of the speaker, if it pops out, you have the correct wiring "in phase" if it's incorrect, the spkr will appear to pop "in". That's "out of phase" reverse your wiring.

Hope that helps

If there was no spark and wires hooked up wrong in the first place, your player should work if you find the PWR lead and the Remote lead and ground. Then speaker wires +) and (-
