IR40T is the Korectype brand of ink roller. You should be able to get this at any office supply store. I don't know where you live but if you are close to Staples they will carry it ot another compatible brand. It is not actually a ribbon but a roller on a piece of plastic. I hope this helps you.
I have a Casio FR-1211 Printing Calculator and I have the same problem. I removed the roller and tried inking the roller with "Sanford's Roll-On Stamp Pad Inker". It works beautifully ! I don't know how long it will last, but for now the print is dark and clear.
