Crosley fridge will not stop running?

HI my Crosley fridge model ct17y4w , will not shut off. for months now it has been running steady. keeps things cold and frozen , and is not turned up too high. killer on the power bill. please help.
I also took a pile or two of dirt off of the fan and lines for cooling , the air couldnt even think of getting through , it was plugged , but no difference, still running. Any Ideas?

Check the seal (gasket) around the door. If the seal is not sealing properly the compressor has to keep running all the time.

Crosley side by side. freezer/refrigerator. Has ice maker/water. Question is why is the fridge side freezing things. Its on lowest setting? I tried cleaning out the coils that were under the fridge.

there is a damper control on the top left of the fridge compartment that may be stuck in the open positin open the fridge door and turn off the unit completely you should be able to here the damper door close. if you do not it may need to be replaced,and or your thermostat for the fridge needs to be replaced.

Try not to panic firstly, if you open the door and it starts to run then it was not running before hand right? or did I miss something?

Temp guage or thermostat I think this is one and the same leave it at a midway position for a while and lets see if it reaches temp in the fridge or not.
