Question about Danby Refrigerators

This is a problem with the 'Motor Run Capacitor'
What you suggest is exactly what happens when this part fails.
Unplug - and look carefully around the connections to the compressor - there should be a cylinder with 2 connections on it. Read what value it says (like 250V 50pf) - and order a replacement from a parts store.
Fit it any way round - it doesnt matter.
plug back in and should work 100%

Its fitted by screws and clips are holding it.This clips are to be un-clipped and screws needs to be removed.Also a thin knife will help to loosen the thermostat housing.This is the thermostat,which you have to remove:---
