The ports are small and get clogged. Take the chain off and you will see ports. It also possible the worm drive on the small oil pump is not engaging or the pick up oil line is clogged. The pump is usually gear driven. No oil to chain wil ruin the chain rapidly.

You've got the one version of the Remington Pole Chain saws that doesn't have a separate parts breakdown online.
However, here's a owners manual for your pole saw and a parts breakdown that can be used for most replacement parts, as the RPS-96 is a similar version of your model.

I can only suggest an Internet search for "Remington YourPartNumber". Does it make sense to invest more money in an obsolete item? Eventually a part you need will not be available. Invest in a name brand you expect to be around for at least 10 years. Name brand saws are better constructed than was Remington IMO, and need fewer parts over the long haul. Sorry. Lou
