SOURCE: My deluxe elite rewind vacuum spits out dirt

The elite rewind does not have any fancy features. This sound like you have a blockage in the foot or base of the vac. remove the bottom cover to look under. Also check the hose, it can be in there as well.

What causes a vacuum to make lots of dust and throw back out what it vacuumed

It sounds like the airducts that lead to your dirt chamber are clogged. The dirt can't get through to the dirt cup so it spits it back out and blows dust everywhere.

My sanyo power brush is spitting out dust instad of sucking it in

Check for a plugged hose or wand, this is a classic sign of a plug some where between the power head and canister.
