I had a similar issue with a different model awhile ago. Turns out that the dock just needed a wipe down to the vacuums sensors can 'see' it

Most vacuums you either remove the bottom plate, or the top cover comes off. If no screws on the top cover, then turn vac. over and remove the screws on the bottom. Then you should be able to get to the brush roll and belt.

SOURCE: 4210 and 4230 won't charge-new batteries.

I've been having the same problem myself. The charger is apparently built into the roomba main board. From what I've read there are two MOSFETs U2 & U4 that can go out and require replacement to fix the problem. More info here

I logged into the Kenmore website, entered the vacuum model no. and found that the bag has been superceeded by 20-50004, which appears to be available only from Kenmore. The belt required is #5270.

SOURCE: Shark Pursuit Euro-pro X vacuum cleaner, 12 amp, upright model

This vacum cleaner is equipped for auto shut off when it gets hot , It gets hot when it gets clogged either the little sponge filter is to dirty or the the round white filter in the dust collecting container.

But if they are both clean then it is clogged in the line probably with lot of carpet fiber, in that case you ned to take the dust container out and possibly the assembly from bottom like when you change the belt, then take of the Handle where the flex hose is attached, then you gonna need a wire hanger bend a long shape close to the shape of the hose line from handle to where it curved around in the bottom opening where it collects the dust behind the spin brush the just stick the hanger from the handle side cause the clog is probably in the lower side then just push the clogs out . Be care full not to puncture the flex hose with hanger. Its probably a good idea to bent the tip of the hanger so that it wont poke hole in the flex hose.

That's what happened with mine I spend hours and hours and days to figure it out. I could have just through it away, but it just kind a pissed me off and the War was on as stubborn as i am, but finally I won and I got the satisfaction of the sweet victory.

Waste lot of time though but it just one of those things. It never messed with me again.

But that is what's wrong with it. Good luck it a good vacum though very power full.

My shark robotic vacuum rv700 Runs for a few seconds and then the clean and exclamation point both blink red. We’ve taken the vacuum apart and cleaned all of the debris from the brushes and the wheels....

Hello. I think you should check your warranty and call to support. If there is no such possibilities you will need to search some good repair service or even buy new device. If you will choose second variant, I recommend to choose good model from this robot vacuum ratings. Good luck!

What considerable factors while I buy a Robot Vacuum?

* Debris type, Hair, dogs, cats, or just plain dust. Any "wet" stuff? All non-vacuum debris needs to be picked up otherwise it may get "smeared" all over with "tracks".
* How often does the floor need vacuuming? Or does it need a good mop up to get clean?
* Obstructions? Lots of chairs, furniture, delicate stands?
* The machine capacity (how much debris will it hold?)
* Battery Tech (should be Lithium Ion)
* additional options; invisible "wall", charging dock (auto return to dock for charging)
* Program times.
* Smart phone app (optional, not really needed unless your rushing home for a surprise visit from mom.)
* robot overhead clearance. (can it go under YOUR stuff?)
* Basically if you perform "Light" cleaning especially on hard floors or really short hair carpet then the robot cleaners will work for you.
* In Arizona where the house was air conditioned but dust and sand from the desert always found a way in. The the robot vacuum would be perfect.
* Parts always are mentioned with most robots. Be sure to pick one that you can get replacements. Amazon.com as parts too.

I have roomba 880 stationed in open w/nothing blocking view (virtual walls, lighthouse, doors, etc) but it will not go back to docking station even when I press docking and its only 6 feet away.

it seems as if the robotic cleaner is having a problem sensing where it is or failing to notice where its charging station is try cleaning any optical/IR sensors and it maybe able to see once again where its charging dock is

My roomba 530 cleans just great, but it will not return to the docking station--it just stops in the middle of the floor without any warning. I push the dock button, etc. to no avail.

I sometimes have the same problem with my Roomba 530 (named Ethel). Make sure the signal transmittor on the docking station and the signal receiver on the top of the Roomba are clean. You can use a cloth or paper towel with a SMALL amount of window cleaner to run around both of these signal devices. I also like to clean the metal contacts on the station and the corresponding contacts on the bottom of the Roomba at the same time. This won't make a difference for the docking but it just assures that the vacuum will charge efficiently. If this doesn't work, you might need to have the unit cleaned professionally unless you feel comfortable about taking the unit apart and cleaning it yourself. I did this and Ethel has worked fine ever since!
If this helps, please come back and rate my suggestion!

I unplugged the docking station and now does not work

I actually had the same issue with mine.. it was 6 years old and just stopped finding the docking station. Also wouldnt take a charge. So I just eliminated the docking station. The stations power cord will charge the unit. Hope this helps.
