I would suggest trying new batteries as well as making sure the receiver is about 8in to 12in from the mouse and at least 6in from the monitor. If you are still not able to connect, uninstall any drivers you have install for this mouse, reboot your pc and reinstall the software 1st, then connect the hardware and reboot your pc.

Good Luck

Onn wrieless mouse is not working

Try replacing the batteries in the mouse. Sometimes the light will still come out of the bottom of the mouse - but the wireless signal is no good.

Also - after you replace the batteries in the mouse, click the sync button on the USB part that plugs into your computer, and then immediatly click the sync button on the bottom of the mouse.

That should do it!

Hello my GE ergonomic wireless mini mouse #98564, connects with my computer sometimes and not others. Currently it will not connect, it has new batteries, dings when the card is inserted into port, but...

I have been fighting with several of these GE Wireless Mice. Pressing the connect buttons on the mouse and USB receiver would not re-connect the mouse. As some ohere posting have pointed out, that little white circle on the usb plug shows where to squeeze to trigger the receiver to re-connect. When you've squeezed correctly, the red LED in the USB pug starts flashing brightly - not a dim flicker. You are supposed to then press the connect buttom under the mouse. Immediately the flashing LED on the receiver should go off, and your mouse should be ready to go. Each time you move the mouse, the same LED in the USB plug should flicker to show activity.

I have tried all this so many times without luck. Even replaced the mouse batteries several times - from the same pack.

Here is my 'FIX'. I think this mouse is very tight on the voltage it needs from the batteries. You need absolutely brand new, full power, good shape batteries. Bateries that look OK in another device, might not work in this mouse.

If you have a test meter and know how to use it, find a couple of batteries that are giving at least 1.6v each - more if possible. Pop these in, do the connect process above, and there is a good chance it will connect up fine.

Good luck.

I moved my computer from one home to the other, also installed new batteries, now my mouse or keyboard will not respond to any commands.

some wireless mouse keyboard combos have a unique way to sync them to their receiver. Even if they aren't together, they still might require you sync them to the receiver. (usually a button on the receiver and the keyboard/mouse that you press together). If this doesnt help, please clarify the Brand and Model of your keyboard and mouse.

Optical wireless mini mouse 98763 feature #9 is

I had all the same problems listed in fixit and found that all it took was placing all NEW batteries in the mouse.
Press the blue light button on the USB and the little black reset button on the bottom of the mouse at the same time. Worked good from there on.

I have a GE wireless optical mouse that has decided no to work

I had the same problem till I discovered there are two buttons (not just one) you have to push to re-link the mouse and the USB receiver. Plug the little receiver in, push the tiny "connect" circle on the receiver (which is actually a button I guess), then wait for the red light to start blinking. Then press the little link button on the bottom of the mouse.

Receiver light is steady green. mouse won't light up. cursor won't move.

Why don't you try at the moment of placing a new battery to see if the small button that protrudes, where the receiver is located at the bottom of the mouse is pressed down. Without the receiver in place that **** on must be out for as long as the receiver is in the USB port.
Good luck!!!

GE Wireless Mini Mouse 97985

Press the link button on the receiver the indicator light should start blinking. Then within two seconds press the link button on the bottom of the mouse, the indicator light should quit blinking. After re-linking the devices move the mouse to see if it moves the cursor. If the cursor does not move, then move the mouse and see if the indicator light on the receiver blinks. If the device does not blink then try re-linking the devices again.
