Question about Nikon Coolpix 2100 Digital Camera
i HAVE A Nikon Coolpix 2100
When i switch on my Nikon Cam both the Red and Green lights on the cam are on and Green one goes on Blinking ( Also on the Screen i see A RED DOT blinking and showing AF ) . So it happens that i have to take a picture but cannot use any other functions like Zoom etc.
After taking the first picture i have to rotate the Dial and Zoom and then again rotate the DIal and take a Picture..
So inshort for every function i have rotate dial and then only can i take a snap..
So if in Night mode ,and i want to take a pic i have to do the follwing:
1. Zoom the cam lens
2. Rotate the dial (in this step i cant use zoom)
3. CLICK PIC...SO FOR one pic have to rotate lens twice..
This has happens have the cam got a little moist and NOT WET in the rains...
Pictures and quality remain same..
plz let me know what to do..
I had the same problem. The shutter button is faulty and is always half pressed - auto focus is operational (this is the step before actually the picture is taken. Try to clean it up with some special electrical contact spray. if this does not work - need to replace it - Not a simple job for the novice. You might need to take the camera to a service center for a spare on-off-expose button. I had an old faulty camera where I took the button from it. That solved the problem.
