Microwave was cooking and then just died
Electricity is stored in the microwave, and before removing the panel to remove the fuse, you must wait several hours with the power off, and the power plug disconnected. You really may not be the right person to attempt this, as you could be seriously injured if shocked.

The problem is likely on the control panel, which we repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid. This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. If unit is built-in reove screws holding unit to cabinet.
Slide out about 2 inches to access 3 screws holding grill.
Remove grill to get to two screws holding control panel.

Never run the microwave without a load (something to heat)!!! That kills the microwave generating parts.
Sounds like a 'thermal' protect switch is activating after running. Make sure that (if the unit is mounted in a cabinet) that there is sufficient space around the unit for proper air flow and that nothing is blocking the vents. Try setting it on a counter top and heat something. If it works properly and doesn't shut off, the venting space is the problem. You may have to have the cabinet that it sits in redesigned for more clearance.

I've got a Honda Civic hybrid with the same noisy beeper. I can't have the parking lights on and the door open. I can't leave the key in the switch while making a phone call etc. I think we have to presume that like the Honda, there is no software controlled override on you microwave beeper... they know best and want you to feel safe and secure that no burglar will be able to make a cup-o-soup in your kitchen without waking you. A few screws and you should be able to expose the main circuit board and apply a layer of bubble gum or silicone caulk or JB Weld to the beeping device. Most have a small hole in a black plastic cylinder... so cover the hole and then test for loudness. For absolute silence, desolder the device from the circuit board and replace with a resistor matching the amount you measure across the beeper contacts with an ohm meter.

There is an inline fuse that is accessed by removing the outer casing. Follow the power line in to the magnatron and you should see the fuse. Make sure the fuse that you replace it with is the same as the one you removed. If this doesnt work then the magnatron has gone out.
