Hello,
I am not quite sure why you would need to quote the motherboard. My only thing about this is you may being trying to upgrade to an os that is not compatiable to the hardware of the NEC. Verify the hardware capatibility first, if everything is ok, move forward with your install.
Good luck

Hello,
I would chose the computer model first and try that. If it does not work, then you will need the model of the motherboard which can be found on the bottom of the motherboard. (Many have the model number printed on top, take a look and see. If nothing, you will need to look under the board)
Hope this helps.

Hi
When reinstalling the driver cd the first thing they say that will come up is the following
"1. please select your motherboard code : Choose from dropdown list your model"
Now if they mean the model of my computer then i am fine but being very unfamiliar with computer tech stuff then i don't know if they mean that or if i need an actual code. If so i don't knwo what it is or where to find it.
I'm just looking to wipe the computer and reinstall everything.
Cheers
