Hello. I Need to Fit a New Starter Cord to a Homelite Strimmer, Can You Give Start to Finish Instruction's. UT No is 20586, Ser No is HM2130442. Thank's, Mike.

Hopefully the website will translate.
Remove throttle handle from shaft trying to keep all parts in one side and once removed place together and install a couple of screws, remove shaft from part no 42 by loosening screw no. 43, item 45 has either a allen head or star head screw in it will probably loosen ccw. Remove item 45, remove item 46 should be arrow to show which way to turn you will need to use copper or brass pin to hit with hammer to remove to prevent damage. Now remove item no. 41 and you are at the starter cord. You will now have to remove spool no 51 and notice how rope is wound if possible, remove old rope install new rope place spool back in place to where it catches spring as it should now wind in same direction as rope wound about 5 turns hold and run rope through eyelet of starter housing. Now install keeper 52 with screw 53.
Sorry link did not work just go to link below and type in your ut no.
then select homelite.

I need a parts diagram of the homelite xl 12 with a ut number of 104564 serial number 790291696.

There seems to be 1 to many numbers in the model # UT104654 is it possible that it reads UT10465A.
If so here is a link to the parts diagram for a Homelite XL12 UT10465A ,

Price forcarburettorforhomelitef3045trimmer

This is as close as I could come to your model. Several iof the carburetor items for Homelites have been updated or discontinued. In addition to this, Ebay has several Zama carburetors for sale that may fit your machine. This site is pricey but will give you a good idea;

Here is a listing of Zama Homelite carburetors currently on Ebay:

Chain dies under light load, engine running ok

It sounds as though you have abraded away the clutch face. I’d try a local saw seller/mechanic, they may be able to adhere a new face to your existing parts.
I went here:
Homelite/Ryobi.com
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.
The numbers Homelite & Ryobi use don't match the numbers everyone posts. A careful inspection of your saw should find something that matches.
Chose “38cc 16" Chain Saw UT-10927” and on the “Clutch – Chain Brake – Drive Case Cover” detail found; item 20, clutch, pn984894001, $15.47; item 21, sprocket and drum assembly, pn984640001, $18.46

Yours is an inboard clutch but it must be removed, the outboard clutch video will help.

The C-clips tend to fly when being removed. Please wear eye protection and exercise care.

  1. Check at the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed.
  2. A length of starter cord or nylon rope may be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. It is probably a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
Let us know how it worked for you. GL

Homelite chaine model # av27 need sprocet belive part # upo6967

Your saw is probably a 27AV. They can be found here:
Homelite/Ryobi.com
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Type "27AV" in the "Model Name/Number:" window, click Search.
10 different models appear match the UT-108?? number on your saw.
I chose one of them, chose item 26 (pn UP06967) on the "Clutch-Chain Brake-Drive Case Cover" detail, clicked "Add to cart" they are $15.60 (new pn 000998263 it now includes a bearing). HTH
