Did you check the batteries too? And do you have the temperature settings right for each program?

SOURCE: AC fan not blowing/ Honeywell T87F thermastat

if you have a voltmeter that checks capacitance, check the capacitor ( silver looking battery) that is mounted on the side of the blower housing in the furnace. You need to take the wires off!! A bad Cap will slow down the fan and if its blown/dead the fan will not run.

If youre more than 1 MFD off the rating stamped on the capacitor, Replace it.

Make sure fan relay is wired correctly (G) wire. Ensure the fan on therm is not on, it should be on Auto or off.

If your furnace is short cycling because it has to keep heating your home, the delay in the control board may be staying on to compensate for the exchangers getting hot. If it heats normally, then put your attention to your thermostat.

Set the heating system on aux heat only. Fan should not be on, if it does stay on after a heating cycle, see if the furnace is heating normally, and reaching temp as desired before the heat comes off. Then check the therm wiring, pull the face of the therm, disconnect green wire (fan) and try the heating again.

How do I reset the temp my heat pump switches from electric to gas. It runs much more economically on electri than on propane. The thermostat is a Honeywell th8000. Code 350 setting I believe. Thanks

Heatpumps are more complex than an AC unit. Yes, there is a difference between a heatpump and an air conditioner. Where the real difference lies is out side in the condenser unit. There's a defrost board out in the unit, and depending on the brand and model, one of the wires will need to be changed so that the gas furnace will not come on. The problem with this, heatpumps use the heat that is available from the outdoors and transfers it to indoor. When the temps outside drop below 50 degrees, there's not enough latent heat to transfer, thus calling the propane furnace to operate. Without the addition of the furnace, you will not be able to heat the area properly. The only way to remedy this, is to remove the propane furnace and replace it with an electric airhandler with a heat strip for "emergency heat". The emergency heat term is used when the temps drop below the temps I mentioned above and calls for the heat strips to come on.

Honeywell wifi thermastat 6980??

Try using the calendar and not the cakender set up. Just kidding make sure your press save after you change your settings. Also if that doesn't help doubt it will much try contacting Honeywell either by phone or web site they are very good at assisting contractors or homeowners with questions about a honeywell product.

Honeywell HZ517 Electric Baseboard Heater not powering up

first.... did they work in the past?? if so... you may have a defective thermastat. if not, usually it is a incorrect wiring problem. wiring in two baseboard heaters to one thermastat can be tricky if you do not know what you are doing. baseboard heaters by design seldom go bad.... if wired correctly the problem could be a defective thermastat or safety limit switch.

Manual Thermostat replcaement with Programmable Digital unit.

Hopefully there are markings on the old t-stat as to what terminal is what.
on the honeywell 8000 use the heat pump labeling and then the standard wiring would be
R- red
AUX-white
Y- yellow
B- O/B
C- black
G- green
There should not be a bare wire, it probably just has the insulation stripped back way too far.
You should probably open the furnace and compare the terminal label in the furnace to the wire color. normally yellow and blue pass through the furnace and are wire nutted to wires going to the outdoor unit. In the furnace the white wire will connect to the w or w1 terminal. also, you will need to set the Honeywell stat to have the following parameters.
170-7
190-1
200-0
other parameters that I did not specify, you may read the manual and make your own decision but I recommend factory settings for the other parameters
