When I switch on my PS3 the screen is blank except for the caption 'cannot start correct hard disk not found'. How can I pse get around this problem. There also seems to be a continuous pitched tone.
When your ps3 is standing upright the tall way tip it over and look at the bottom there should be a plate that says something about the hard drive. get a flat screwdriver and pry on the right side of the plate. The hard drive is directly behind that plate and is secured by a blue screw. take out the screw and flip out the little u shaped handle and slide it to the right and pull out your hard drive. Try blowing out all the connections and putting it back in hope this helps
Hi, take the Hard drive out and try putting it in a different PS3. If it does the same thing then your HD may need to be formatted or even totally shot. Fortunately, a HD for the PS3's (depending on the size ) is relatively inexpensive, and really easy to replace.
Get a new PS3.
Id say you have a corrupted HDD..
This happens if you turn the ps3 off alot by the switch instead of going to shutdown.
New HDD should fix it
