Hold the center button and the menu button till it shows the Apple symbol then let go and it should reset..if not plug it into a computer and use the reset on the iTunes

SOURCE: Ipod 4th gen nano is frozen on the language selection screen.

That could be one of two problems: Either the cord of the click wheel has been disconnected from its socket which will be an easy fix and you only have to pay labor, or you may just need a new click wheel which should still be cheap.

you have to hold the center button and the menu button to reset it...if that doesnt work you will have to plug it into the computer and use the restore function on the iTunes

Changed language to french!

Disconnect your iPod from your computer, then press the Menu button until the menu title says "iPod," regardless of the language displayed. This means you are at the main menu.
