Why is it machines always fail at weekends, or public holidays, when there's no-one available to help :-). My Siemens suddenly threw up an E23. Tried all sorts to sort it out but then remembered a similar problem on a friend's machine. An engineer had been called in and looked at the machine the following day. Nothing wrong with it !! This happened twice until someone mentioned how frothy the soap had been whilst washing. That was it.... foam had built up and was confusing the pump sensors. An hour later the foam had dissipated and the machine carried on as normal. So.. I left my Siemens overnight with the drain and filters left open and the following day the machine worked normally. It turns out that one of the cloths in the original wash had been used for car washing - and had traces of foam shampoo in it. Lesson leaned ! It's sometimes the simplest things.....

Family error code "E20" means difficulties in draining, but I never heard for error code E25 on this model. Could be : E21, E23 and E24 error code.

You basically have water in the sump at the bottom of the machine, and the sensor gives you E23 error to stop a 'flood'.

Unscrew the back cover and dry it with towels and then a hair dryer and you should be fine...

You must have added extra water and overfilled the tray, or there's a leak somewhere if the problem persists.

I had the same problem. The device (siemens iq700 washing machine) was transferred to siemens service center and the following day I was notified that they were unable to unblock the panel, so it had to be replaced (~200+ euros...) . So this is not a solution, it is bad news instead...

1. Rotate the wheel one to the right (cotton)
2. hold "eco perfect" down while rotating the wheel one more time to the right.
3. Now press on the watch until the display says 0
4. Turn the wheel one more time to the right and do the same thing
