Step 1: Make sure you're using the original charger and cable

This is the most common reason for battery problems....a non-Huawei product
Before doing anything else, check label of the charger you're using to know if it's the original one or a third-party. The reason why manufacturers normally pack a charger kit together with the main unit is because those accessories have been tested to work perfectly with the phone by giving out correct voltage and current.
Third-party accessories makers also build chargers that may equal with the specs of some devices but you really cannot be sure if they'd work with your device or not. When troubleshooting a charging issue, it's best to begin by making sure you're using the original charger and cable.

Step 2: Reboot your phone a few times
Assuming you're using the original charger and cable and your phone is still not charging, then let's not jump into more complex troubleshooting just yet. Instead, reboot your phone a few times to rule out the possibility the problem is caused by a minor firmware or hardware glitch.
Reboots usually fix glitches in the system or a temporary hardware issue that occurs from time to time. Try rebooting your phone a couple of times and then charge the phone. It would also be practical to charge it while powered off. If it's still won't charge after this, then next step will surely keep you busy for a bit.
Step 3: Physically check the charger, cable and ports
Before you actually do the checking, try to plug the charger to a different wall outlet that you know works because that might be the issue here. If the problem persists even with other outlets, then proceed with the physical checking of the charger.
Remove the cable from it and then look into the port to see if there are debris, lints, corrosion or bent pins. For debris and lint, you can actually fish them out of the port using a pair of tweezers or you can give it a blast of compressed air if possible. For corrosion, you can clean it out with a Q tip with alcohol and for bent pins, try straightening them out with a pair of tweezers.
In checking the cable, all you need to do is run your finger through it from one end to another to feel for lumps or breaks. You also have to check the connectors on both ends for same things we were trying to find in your charger's port. However, to check if the cable is still conducting electricity, try to connect it to your computer, if possible, and then plug it to your phone. Your computer should be able to detect it provided the USB options is set to media or file transfer (not Charge only) and if it doesn't have any breaks.
After verifying that the charger and the cable don't have issues, check your phone's charging port for debris, corrosion and bent pins. Blast it with compressed air to make sure it's clean and in case of bent pins, you may try to straighten them but be very careful so as not to damage them. The safest route is to let the tech do it for you if it's really the case.
Step 4: Request for a replacement
If the first 3 steps didn't yield any favorable results, then there's not much you can do for your phone already. It's time to bring it back to the store, explain to the tech what happened and if possible, have it replaced instead of having it repaired especially if the problem just started without apparent reason. It might be an internal or manufacturing problem and you don't have to deal with that for the entire duration of your plan or phone's lifespan.
However, if the problem started after being dipped in water or dropped on a hard pavement, then a replacement is impossible without a fee. So, everything depends.
I hope that this simple troubleshooting guide can help you.

SOURCE: Scooba 5800 Power button Red Blinking

You probably have the manual, but here's the link to the Scooba 5800 manual anyway - just in case this would be useful to you: --> You could use a voltmeter to check the battery, but only a few months use shouldn't be enough to wear it out. If you don't have a load-tester to verify the battery's load-capacity, then you can check the voltage drop. (Assuming you can get it to contact the Scooba's circuits.) To do this, just check the battery voltage, apply a load by inserting it in the machine and turning it on, then check the battery voltage again. An excessive drop in voltage may indicate the battery needs replacing. However, the red blinking light is Scooba's indicator that it doesn't detect the battery at all. The first thing to do in this case is to clean the electrical contacts on the battery and in the Scooba. Use a damp cloth and a bit of toothpaste to rub the contacts clean on the battery and in the machine. (Toothpaste has mild abrasives in it and will clean the electric contacts without damaging them.) Make sure that both the battery and the Scooba are clean and dry before re-inserting the battery. Also, if the electric contacts in the machine are flexible matal tabs then verify that the tabs are standing up high enough to make good contact with the battery contacts. Hopefully the battery just needs it's contacts cleaned for your unit to work, but test the battery if you are sure that they are clean and seated properly to the contacts in the machine. If the battery appears to be failing, then contact to cheack and see if they are still covered under your machine's warranty. Hope this helps! :)

Gateway NV5378u lap top, brand new battery installed and status says 100% charged. When I unplug the computer it shuts off as if there is no battery. Could the new battery be defective?

There are a few things to check. The LED lights can tell you a lot. This will tell you more about the battery:
  1. On the taskbar, double-click the power cord icon or battery icon to open the Power Meter dialog box. Note: If the power cord icon or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button.
  2. Press Fn+STATUS to view the power status box, which opens in the upper-left corner of the screen. The power status box shows the current power source, the battery charge level, and the power management mode.
  3. Look at the battery charge indicator (if applicable).
    • LED green - Battery is fully charged.
    • LED orange - Battery is charging.
    • LED blinking red - Battery charge is very low.
    • LED solid red - Battery is malfunctioning. Note: This LED only lights up when the notebook is connected to AC power.
  4. Press the battery meter button on the battery. The battery meter lights indicate the percentage of battery charge remaining.
  5. Wait for a Low Battery warning message to appear.
If your battery charge indicator displays what looks like an inaccurate charge, you may need to recalibrate the battery.

To recalibrate the battery as mentioned, try this:
  1. Connect the AC adapter and then turn on the notebook.
  2. As soon as it starts and you see a startup screen, press the F2 key.
  3. In the BIOS Setup utility, use the TAB key to select the Advanced menu.
  4. On the Advanced menu, select Battery Auto Learning, and then press the SPACEBAR to select Enabled.
  5. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Exit menu. On the Exit menu select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the Setup Confirmation prompt, select Yes, and then press ENTER.
  7. The battery recalibration process begins and a screen opens showing you the progress.
  8. When the recalibration has finished, and the message "Press [Esc] key to exit" appears, press Esc. The battery charge indicator now displays an accurate battery charge.

Hope this helps!!

My storm battery icon was yellow then went to all red. I have it turned off and charging right now and indicator light is blinking greenish red? Is there a problem or does it just need charged

Battery icon goes yellow when charge is low, red when about to go off, yes, that's OK. Recommend give it more time after all the bars are full-white, to trickle more into the battery. Lithium batteries don't seem to like being flattenend and left flat in my experience.

The light blinks for all sorts of things, might also have pending messages, etc. Can use the Storm OK while it's charging, just hold down red button to turn it on again.

After turning on, sometimes the cellular receiver does not turn on until battery is more charged. Wait 10 mins and then try to make a phone call, you may get a message saying it's off, do you want to turn the receiver on - just say yes.

That should keep you going. Nice phone.

I can't turn my blackberry on.

The battery has been drained too much. You'll need to get a new battery or the battery needs to be externally charged to at least 50% externally

Battery level

As Suzaku explained:
A battery icon will show up on the LCD screen of your camera when it is already low and needs recharging. It can be found at the lower right side of your LCD screen. The ready light of your camera will also blink red and your camera will turn off if the battery is exhausted.
The icon will not appear if the batery is sufficient and there is no TECH way of making the icon show until the batt needs charging.
