You can try Sears but they can be a bit pricey. I use to send out motors for a factory I worked in to a rebuilder who would even do new windings. Check in your area for a rebuilder, As for the replacement being a Sears unit they may have a similar motor in stock. Good luck.

Sears no longer sells repair parts for this motor, only the whole motor as a replacement part, and it is $140.00, but you can buy replacement bearings from drillspot.com the bearing needed is an Enduro 6200 zz c3

First try Lowe's, the only Kobalt tool retailer. If they can't help you, the Kobalt customer service number is (888) 356-2258. I looked for Kobalt power tool parts onlline without success. That may suggest that their one-and-only retailer is the only source, or it may mean you should look for a replacement saw, basing your choice on likely future parts availability.

Is there a nameplate on the old motor? If so, it should state the HP, speed and direction of the original motor. If not, a 1/2 HP to 1 HP 1750 RPM motor with the same size shaft that will turn the blade the same as the original should work fine. From the online manual, it appears to have an internal start switch, so the wiring should be standard.

I hav a Powermatic model E16 planer, the motor has been changed to 1 phase 220 amp , the speed sees too slow, what speed should the cutters turn

If it's got the 3-3/4" three-knife cutterhead, it should run pretty near to 5000 RPM. If it's got the 1-7/8" two-knife cutterhead, it should run at nearly 10,000 RPM.

That planer should take a 3600 (3450) RPM motor.

Tablesaw when turned on just keep getting faster in speed. Does not get to speed and hold it there.

Is the motor the original? Maybe you bought this used and the original motor was replaced with a Universal AC motor. This type of motor has a tendency to "runaway". It might be workable if you want to baby-sit it very attentively, but it's not really what you want on a table saw, as you might wind up spinning the blade at an unsafe speed. Blades are max rpm rated for a reason.

I own the craftsman tablesaw (model # 137.218250). while ripping a 2 x 4 the motor shut off and i pressed the reset button and it started up again. but then it happened again minutes later and now it won't...

Did you wait 5 minutes for the reset button to cool down. That usually does it after repeated overloads.

Kobalt air compressor won't run

hi mate take the head off and inspect the valves and gaskets i had this problem and it was the gaskets gone just make sure the valves are opening and closing ok good luck

I have a Craftsman table saw with a burned out motor. The motor model number is RM871. Where can I find one for less that the $130.00 that Sears wants for the motor. That's the price of the saw.

SOUNDS LIKE THE PROBLEM I HAD, BUT WAS JUST A SEIZED-UP BEARING. I WENT TO LOCAL ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR ($15.74) PARTS AND LABOR, THEY REPLACED THE BEARING, THERE ARE 2 BEARINGS ON IT, COST IS THE SAME FOR EACH. THE BEARING IS PRESSED ON, SO REPLACEABLE. HOPE THIS HELPED
