I purchased the revlon one step volumizer. I have had it maybe just over a month, have used it four times. Today, no heat, I have no receipt for Walmart or no box. Walmart is where I'm purchased it. $65 for four uses is pretty expensive. So now what do I do
No receipt and no box is unfortunate - it is usually a good idea to keep these until the warranty has expired.
Without proof of purchase you have no choice but to throw yourself on the understanding of the retailer - unless you paid using a debit card or preferably a credit card. A debit card transaction (or a cheque) would provide proof of purchase on the bank statement and a credit card does provide consumer protection insurance against faulty goods as well as the necessary proof.
If you paid cash you are unlikely to have success without the help of a friendly store manager and then only if you can remember the date and time you bought the device and at which till so the manager could find the proof if he was inclined.
Your contract is or was with the store and that should be where you take a complaint but sometimes the manufacturer can help. As the box has gone I suppose the paperwork has also gone. The paperwork is generally something like an electrical safety leaflet, the operating instructions and a guarantee registration card. If you registered the item when you bought it then returning it to the manufacturer should be a formality.
If you didn't register the product I suggest you write an old fashioned letter to the manufacturer's customer service explaining the situation and asking if they will help you.

The base unit should not need a charge. It should be powered by the plug in adapter. It may have a battery to keep operation for a short time in a power outage. The adapter may be loose, the adapter could be broken or the plug in the phone may be broken.

Contact the manufacturer and they should be able to determine the date the tv was made using the serial number, or you can try getting a copy of a receipt from the retailer, as well if you have your warranty card it may have the date of purchase and could help in getting it repaired under warranty.
