SOURCE: stuck on welcome screen

This means there is a button stck down!

1. Remove the batteries.
2. Push in, and massage each button to ensure that they are not stuck down.
3. Update the firmware.
4. Update the remote.

My LG KP500 doesn't turn on

You can buy all sorts of cell phone parts on ebay. Are you sure you have a fully charged battery in your phone? If the battery is charged, and the phone will not boot past the welcome screen, you will either need to do a hard reset to reinstall all of the operating system files or replace the motherboard. Do an internet search for LG KP500 hard reset for detailed instructions for the hard reset. Caution - this will delete all files which were saved on your phone. It will not delete files on your SD memory card.

You can change the function of any of the buttons at the bottom to open a different application. Here's what I did. I never use the To Do button so I went to Pref and changed the To Do button from To Do to Welcome. Now if it needs to be recalibrated, I just press the To Do button and it opens the Welcome screen. I can still access To Do from the main menu if I want to use it.
