My element elcfw329 seams to start but when it gets to where the channel comes up it actually shuts down gose from blue lite to red if it starts without trying pic the sound works and back lites work

Your ballace is most likely out. If not that your light engine is going out. You may be able to get a rebuilt one from www.vancebaldwin.com it will come with a new fan, and ballace.

When the power button flashes red and shut down that means the system is getting hot... Follow the procedures below to solve the problems..

1. Press LAMP POWER ON/OFF button to OFF.
2. Check the air filter for dust accumulation.
3. Remove dust with vacuum cleaner (see Air Filter Care and Cleaning.)
4. Press LAMP POWER ON/OFF button to ON.

The TV is shutting down because there is an internal fault.

the most common cause for sudden shutdown is overheating.

Ensure that the fans are working.

More causes for sudden shutdown are:

PSU failure.

Inverter failure.

Main board failure.

LCD controller.
