How to connect my Bose 901 series vI speaker to yamaha rx v740 and rotel rb 1582. Appreciate your help. Thanks

The Bose controller gets wired in series between the pre-amp and the power amp.

I presume you plan to use the 901's as the front L&R pair. So the cables going from the 740's Pre-Out Front L&R go to the inputs on the Bose controller. The outputs of the Bose controller go to the power amp Front L&R channel inputs.

Getting no sound hooked up to pre-amp and 2 rotel 200w amps with snell speakers

You didn't say whether the player is connected by 2 RCA cables (analog) or by digital cable. If by RCA, does the player have a headphone jack? I had a player once with a piece of a headphone that broke off inside the jack, muting the analog outputs.

Rotel processor bypass for Audio Research SP10

If I understand you, the 'sound' of the AR preamp is what you're trying to preserve. Presumably you're just running a phono through it as nothing else needs a preamp these days.

The multichannel inputs bypass all of the Rotel's processing except the volume. Use the Front L and R.

Rotel PReamp, Can I directly Connect my powered speakers to the output

Hi,

Based on your post, the pre-amp is doing its job. What might be the mismatch would be the powered speaker system plugged into the output of the Rotel. Depending on what the "powered speaker system" is, it might be that it is a low impedance such as those used in computers whereas the Rotel requires high impedance to be connected to its output. What could be tried is to connect a regular amp or receiver to the Rotel.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
