Then the mechanical governor is ok. The problem is a failure in the auto throttle circuitry or stepper motor. IMHO.

SOURCE: motor runs wide open but no power from generator

You will need to install new diodes, they are located in the plastic housing behind the receptacles...It looks like little spark plugs..They work to put dc voltage to the rotor, without the exciter voltage applied, you will not get ac power out..The part number is 3483.01....You can buy these online for about $6 each, they have 2 inside the generator, and you should change both.

SOURCE: how long does a timing belt last on a Hyundai Tuscon

Generally speaking most cars should have the timing belt changed every 60-80K miles just so that it doesn't break while your driving and do furthur damage. Most vehicles have the water pump changed at the same because they're in the same area and once you open it all up you just go ahead and change it all.

SOURCE: Honda eu2000 generator starts but no power to panel

You probably need to do a tune up. Change the spark plug, oil, air filter, and you may also need to add new fuel.

SOURCE: My Honda ES6500 watt generator keeps blowing 15 amp fuse

Hi there .
In my opinion you should remove the starter and check the starter first . After you remove the starter get a good 12v battery and 2 wires and test the starter . Make sure to not invert polarity . After you touch the wires on the contactor (small solenoid on the side) see if the overrunnig (part with gears) comes out easy and with no obstruction . If the overrunning does not come out you could have a bad contactor (part # 31204-ZA0-003) or a bad starter (part # 31200-ZA0-701) .
Hope this help

Honda es6500 won't start has fire, compression , gas, not voltage at carb, oil light on then goes out when cranking

If you run 12volts to the carb, will it run? I assume since it has no power at carb as you stated, that it has a fuel shut off at carb and will need voltage to activate magnet.

Adjust timing on honda but runs rough under load

I would guess your timing belt has jumped a cog or two, and should be replaced. When you aim a timing light at your harmonic balancer, the marks should stay in one position. If the marks are jumping around, your belt has jumped.

Honda es6500 low oil lamp on engine oil is at upper limt. reset butten did not pop. engtne will not run

If the low oil switch fails, you have to jump the switch for the engine to operate. I have a compressor with that problem. Then either you watch the oil level carefully or install a new switch, which, in my case, requires disassembly of the crankcase.

It runs wide open all the time im wondering where idler arm setting is at

It sounds like the govenor spring has become disconnected or the clamp on the governor shaft has become loose and allowed the linkage to get out of adjustment. If problem has occurred suddenly it could mean the governor gear assembly inside the engine has broken and means the engine will need to be dismantrel to replace the governor gear assembly.
Check throttle linkage to see if spring is attached at both ends, one end on the throttle linkage and the other at the fixed point on the engine or to the end of the speed control lever. With engine stopped the spring should hold the throttle wide open and hand pressure on the linkage shoud be all that is needed to move throttle shaft closed to the idle position with no binding in the movement of the linkage.
If spring is OK and while engine is running, linkage should be able to be be moved to bring engine back to idle. If porblem has occurred gradually, then linkage will need re-adjusting. Loosen adjusting clamp on governor shaft, then holding linkage in wide open throttle position rotate shaft as far as it will go in the opposite direction to that requred to close throttle to idle . Re-tighten clamp.
