Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: You audio and video should work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

Ok i bought a logitech webcam c910 and at first it looked ok then it turned black and blurry i tried changing the settings but then it looked green but when i click restore to default settings it just...

I have a similar issue. For some reason, after installing the proprietary driver from Logitech, the same happened. Automatic settings don't work, but if you unmark the 3 different checkboxes in advanced settings for automatic settings, you can modify all parameters individually and you can get a decent image.

How do I calibrate the image with my Logitech 5000 camera? Image is very off centre

Launch your Logitech toolbar from the desktop or from "All Programs"

Start your webcam by opening the 'Quick Capture' menu ( 2 film frame pictures)
Open the 'Settings' menu ( 2 gear wheels) and use the horizontal 'Pan and tilt' arrows to centralise your image.

The picture in my logitech webcam is not clean but cloudy

Launch the logitech toolbar from your desktop or 'All Programs'
Start your webcam from the 'Quick Capture' menu and then move to the 'Settings' menu - try and trim the image from here.
1) Try rotating the focus ring around the lens to achieve the optimum clarity
2) Make sure you have DirectX installed
3) Check your USB ports are 2.0 ('enhanced' - on the USB info in Device Manager) My laptop has 4 USB ports
2 are 1.1 and 2 are 2.0. The difference it makes to my logitech is amazing
4) If all else fails - re-install your software

My logitech webcam is blurry how do i fix that?

Some webcams have a focus ring around the lens that you rotate others rely on the software for a good focal length
Launch your Logitech toolbar from the desktop or from 'All programs'
Click on the 'Quick Capture' menu (2 photo frames picture) to start your webcam.
With the webcam running click on the 'Settings' menu (2 gearwheels picture)
Here you can adjust all your settings to achieve the best image

Multiple images on the test.

The multiple images were probably selected from your 'Video Effect' menu
Launch the logitech toolbar
Click the "Quick capture" ( 2 reel clips picture ) on the toolbar to start your webcam and test your drivers are working ok
If you have muliple images, keep the webcam running and click on the video effects ( 2 theatre masks ). Ensure no effects are selected and finally trim the image by selecting 'Settings' ( 2 gear wheels ) and fine tune your image. Use the Advanced tab to change the mirror images if necessary
