Hey! If your speakers work when you run the automatic setup for channel control and balance (FL, FC, FR, RL, RR and subwoofer) the the culpret is probably a button on the front panel (to the left of the volume know called "Digital Input". With a component on and running an audio signal, push that button until it cycles through the list of available inputs. You may find that this will fix the problem.
This has happend to me a couple of times, when one of the kids has accidentally pushed the Digital Input button while plugging in an aux source.
Hope this helps.

I have a teac AG D8900 Digital Home Theater. My subwoofer seems to be dead. No lights come on the front of Sub Woofer even though it's plugged in. I tried changing outlets. The wire from speaker to...

I have the same-just talked to TEAC last week, if fuses(two 5 amp glass ones inside housing-just remove screws on back after un-plugging 120v power) on the LSR-1008 subwoofer are blown, it may be failed relays. I replaced my fuses, both blew w/in 5 seconds. Called TEAC today, relays are NOT available alone and are solder connected; however, complete new circuit board is plug in, part #APE000515-0001 at $47.69 plus shipping. Verify #s and price with TEAC, but now I must decide if it's important to keep this sub, or if another at around 60$ on Ebay is a better bet. Good luck!

Connecting An Equalizer

you will need 6 equalizers or 3 stereo equalizers.

connect the 5.1 analogue outputs of your media player (DVD Player) to the equalizer and then connect the analogue output of the equalizer to the AVR.

now you can equaize the sound for extra boost and cut.

Warning: it is not recomended to do so unless you have a powerful amp and high quality and higher wattage speakers, as equalizers are ment to be used mainly for entertianment zones and outdoors in professional applications.
the home speakers annd electronics are not really capable of taking such electronic stress as they are designed to work indoors in a confined space.
but if you are confident go ahed.

Problem

please check for any short circuit at the binding post speaker output of the amplifier and also at the speaker inputs.

if all seems to be ok also check the + and -- at the speaker and amp

if this is also ok then it could be an internal problem which could be only solved in a service center by a qualified service personnel.

NO SOUND

Check speaker terminal connections, then source input, then surround mode choice.
