My blackberry 8220 bluetooth wont work. its in visible mode and everything is switched on. i cant receive files though. how do i fix that

Bluetooth is not meant for file transfer on this phone.

1. u check the mode mobile visibility mode
bluetooth >> edit >> mobile visibility >> change to on mode

and file store path u defined must, then easily access files

( or )

2. software problem then u give to the service center

For any 2nd hand BlackBerry, you have to format you device and configure newly ,.

Screen menu> manage connection> check mark on <blue tooth>

sedngi via blue tooth ,
open any picture or ringtone and press the menu button > send using blue tooth”

receiving via blue tooth ,
Screen menu > media> press the menu button ,”Receiving using blue tooth”

soln 1 have u checked tryin to transfer data of pretty small sizes like an image? soln 2 1. On the receiving device, go to media, select what you'll be receiving (photos, ringtone, etc), press menu, then select receive using bluetooth.

2. On the sending device, send using bluetooth...

MUST BE DONE IN THAT ORDER! soln3 Go to Applications, then choose Files. Then hit the menu button and scroll to Receive Using Bluetooth. Then on your computer choose the file you want to send and tell the computer to Send To Bluetooth device. It works! Halleluiah!

go to bluetooth settings and hold down the button on ur bleutoth as the phone is searching for devices

My blackberry 8220 flip, blutooth can pair with my laptop, and send the phone list, but the phone cannot receive photo,s etc

Throw it as hard as you can !!!!!! It won't solve the problem,but it will sure make you feel better !!!!!! I am about to receive my 3rd 8220 Pearl !!!!! Pearl my ***.....Piece of **** is what it should be Called.

first of all make pair with the other phone and then tell some one to send u file via bluetooth ... and then go to ur BlackBerry's media click on option and then click on receive file via blutooth . thats the regular procedure to recive any file via blue tooth on black berry

only two possibilities
1. You must have selected invisible to others in bluetooth option. kindly de-select it.
2. The path where the files are saved must be your phone memory which would be less thats why unable to receive bigger files try to receive smaller one if you get it then change the destination to your memory card.

make sure whether blutooth is in visible mode
