Display not working on maytag mgr5875qdb. Can it be fixed? if so how. this happened after a power outage.

power outage should not have caused this / but the do is (door) code it either didn't lock . or is unable to lock . the latch assem may have to be leplaced . try turning power of /just unplug and plug back in and try to program .. if it doesn't i would repl door latch .. pls feed back mm
