I have a Sharp TV w/remote G1324SA. After fumbling while turning on the tv, I now can't get any sound. The volume on both the cable and the tv are all the way up and the "mute" is NOT on. Help!!

Hi Kurt, I did try that also. The volume is all the way up. So frustrating. I've had this tv for years and was just watching it in the morning. Then when I got home and turned it back on I messed something up.

Go to the tv itself and turn up the volume without the remote

SOURCE: Hughes Remote works the satellite but not the TV

You have to push and hold down TV and Mute button (for 2 seconds at the same time), then release them at the same time, then push channel up until the TV turns off.  Be patient and continue channel up until the TV turns off.  When it turns off, then push TV again to lock the code.

You were doing fine, but missed to push channel up to fine the code.

SOURCE: Remote volume control for Sharp Aquos 42inch LCD not working

User 'rapolley' is absolutely right. One can cycle through the functions to access different options, ie. 'TV', 'Audio', 'DVD', etc. I stumbled upon this solution when I thought my 'Menu' button wasn't working. All I had to do is cycle through the 'Functions' and choose 'Menu' once I get to 'TV'. Thanks!

TV is under warranty. Get a tech to look at it. It could require a new IR sensor, a firmware upgrade or a system reset that only a tech can do called an Industry Initialization that is in the service mode only

Muted my sharp le 810 and now i can't retrieve the sound

If you push the volume button on set does it show on screen?

My guess would be the sound may be turned down on the box or tv or maybe in the TV menu the speakers may be turned off.

Does not sound (pardon the pun) like a circuit repair but like an error.

Check all audio settings or options first in the set and then the box.

If the cable from the cable box is attached to the TV via a coax cable, then all you need to change the TV channel to either Channel 3 or Channel 4. You may have accidentally push the CH button on the TV remote. Please post back what you find.

I have a Sharp LC37D43U TV that has no audio. The volume indicator shows can be moved up or down but no sound comes through the speakers. The picture works fine. I have nothing else connected to the TV....

It appears you ve discovered the sound task levers required to adjustment properties. Your Tv can still move levers even when the volume is set to mute. Select the unmute button before any voice or audio would be reactivated. Assuming that seting the TV on mute has predominant integrety over the volume functions where not unmuting usually with the same button on the remote would not achieve accessibility to the volume functions. refer to the TV user guide for diagnostic audios. Good luck

I had the same issue with my Sharp Aquos 52 inch LCD TV. I called Sharp. The tech had me unplug my TV, take the batteries out of the remote (TV remote not cable) and press all buttons on the remote (including the buttons under the flip top at the bottom of the remote). I did this, put the batteries back in and plugged in the tv and everything worked. I had gone 4 months having to use the surround sound for volume and turning the TV on and off by hand. This took 2 minutes to fix.

Volume issue

Very loud it never gonna be. It's a tv with very small speakers, but I have a lot of customers who complain about that and I checked first the signal source. Sometimes the sattelite receiver or cable box give a sound not so good. The best way to check it is to plug something (an antenna or just a 2 inch wire) in the coaxial plug to see if on the tuner is the same sound. I bet is gonna be stronger.
