I have a 2002 voyager pontoon boat the motor lift switch works just fine on the side of the motor, but at the console the motor will only lower, it won't go up. I'm not sure where or what to look for

Your switch wire has a bad contact at the switch itself or at the motor... locate the clip for the motor, disconnect and apply dielectric grease to the contacts and reconnect.. If that doesn't work disconnect the switch at the helm and repeat...

it's most likely the switch or the wiring. I would go with the switch first. I had the same problem once on a 1992 accura legend.

SOURCE: Assembly of a Cimarron Pontoon Boat

have a similar boat, but it's been a year or so since I used it. Here's what I remember.

Lay it all out first. It's very confusing until you get a visual. The seat rests on two bars. These bars span the two pontoons. I believe they use pins, rather than bolts to secure it. You probably have a basket and maybe a trolling motor mount. Get rid of the mount, unless you plan on using it. If you do, it attaches to the rear basket. The basket mounts to the back of the chair and rear bar with bolts.

Next, the leg holders slide in and there should be pins to hold them in place for the right distance. If there is a stand up plate and a casting bar, you're on your own on how to attach them. Obviously they go in the front, but I have no idea how they are attached.

Mine had an anchor, but this was a huge hassle. Much easier to pull to shore than park in the water.

There is probably a mesh type piece that fits under or around your seat with bungies or hooks. It may have a fish measure on it. If it does, that goes to the front.

The oars are merely pinned in at a comfortable spots. There should be oar "stops," that slide over your oars. Again, you have to adjust the length to how long your arms are. They don't slide too easily. And, they are needed so your oars don't slide off into the water.

The side bars should have a hump to rest the pontoons on. Buy a double pump and save some time, (or an electric pump). The following is the most important fact of all, You have two bladders in each pontoon. Inflate them BOTH. Air up one from the front, then the other from the rear, back and forth until the pontoon is ready to burst. This prevents a disaster. If one deflates or is punctured, the other one has enough air to support you to shore. Strap them on and you're ready to go. And I would suggest a practice run in calm water first. They are a little awkward at first. Good luck

It would be a switch. Try pushing the switch down hard and wiggling it. It may work which would indicat a switch. Since one direction works It has to be the switch ,

How do you know if a fuse is blown in your pontoon tracker boat

On the engine itself is a series of fuses , pull them out one at a time and look. But a fuse shouldn't cause the alarm to go . Blown fuse means no power , no power means no alarm. Never heard of an ignite alarm might that be a gas vapour alarm ... find out where the sensor is

What is the maximum engine size that I can put on my 1994 Sun Spa 200 pontoon boat?

Look for the Manufacturer's capacity plate. It will specify how many persons the boat can safely hold and the maximum horse power rating. It can usually be found around the transom (back of the boat) were the motor is mounted or near the steering console.

What should the tilt be set at for a 12 ft pontoon with a 15 hp motor

The tilt is dependent on weight in the boat, location of people, etc. The majority of people set it by feel. For a pontoon with low horsepower a general setting is set it so the propeller is horizontal to the floats (pontoons). Since you only have a 15hp on it I would set it this way. That way your propeller is pushing water straight back and all power is utilized in moving the boat and not wasted on raising or lowering the bow/front of the boat under power which is what your tilt up or down does. Raise it up your bow goes up. Tilt it down and your bow goes down.

I have a 03 Sun Tracker pontoon & Merc 60 my throttle trim will lower motor but not raise it.It works fine from motor ,up & down okAlso just had voltage reg. replaced and tach stopped working .Help

Time to just go threw all the wiring. You have a boat. It's on the water or not. On the water electrolysis kicks in 1000%. On land corrosion set in. Check and clean the wire plugs, replace if necessary. Replace ground point connectors. Add wire if necessary. Just a note. When I do boats, I solder all connections and use silicone shrink wrap on the wires.

probably an endura 50 would be a better fit for a potoon boat. assuming the boat is normal size. if its a smaller one then this motor might work just fine. give it a try and see if it moves you about fast enough for your taste.

Is it compatible 3.5 HP engine with the boat? (mariner 4) if yes , when i used %30 of power just alone back side go down and can not control properly . engine is TOHATSU M 3.5 S

Your motor is too large.

For the Intex Mariner 4 Intex recommend an absolute maximum of 3HP (2,2kW) and the motor must not weigh more than 40lb (18,2kg).

Those limits assume that you are using the Intex motor mount kit (Part No. 10658) and that the boat is correctly loaded and inflated.

In reality and from experience I would personally recommend 2HP maximum power and to keep the motor as lightweight as possible. Although the Intex Mariner 4 can take a motor mount, it's really a rowboat and is not suited to using a motor for extended periods, but just as a convenient tender to a larger boat it's fine.
