How does the fixya work? - FixYa Computers & Internet

It works very well. Posts are usually answered quicker than 6 years, but this is pretty much a dormant category.

Please check your spam folder in your email to make sure the emails was not misplaced.

If not, you should contact the FixYa Support Team - they should be able to help you with the issue you're having with your password.

I am not sure what you mean by Fixya making Firefox no longer work. Fixya does not install anything on your computer or in your web browser.

If you have installed the Ask toolbar or maybe some other extensions recently, you could try uninstalling and see if that solves the issue. You could also try reinstalling Firefox altogether.

If you can reply with a comment below with additional details I will be more than happy to help you troubleshoot further, but I am positive Fixya did not cause Firefox to no longer work.

Looks like a good idea, except for one small factor;

In the FixYa T.O.S. it states there is no buying, or selling on FixYa,

HOWEVER, there are plenty of other websites, where this is allowed.

If FixYa allowed selling, and buying of products in the product problem/solution area; there would be no room for problems, and their solutions.

(FixYa would be more like Craigslist, or Ebay. Not the world's largest product support website)

If you have forgotten your FixYa login pasword, you can reset the password by c licking this link:

http://www.fixya.com/ForgotPassword.aspx

On the page which opens, enter your email address you registered with FixYa and click the "Email Me" button.

You will then receive an email from from FixYa with the instructions to reset the password.

I think you may have a Control Board issue/failure. I would like to help but everyone I have worked with walks away with the 1st troubleshooting step or two.

If you want to work the issue let me know. Was there any recent storm activity in your area? Do you have surge suppression on the 120VAC outlet the machine is plugged into?

I know Firefox has a built-in spellchecker. I don't know which version of IE has that feature... if you're using IE make sure you've updated to the newest version. If that doesn't work I would just install Firefox.

yes it works on google browser (google chrome) I'm working with chrome too.
