I have an samsung i607 that will not ring at full volume until the middle of the 3rd ring. the sound settings are set to ''ring'' with the ''standard ring'' sound. from within the settings page, the play button for the ''standard ring'' sound plays full volume, but when a test call is placed, the ring is very low, until the middle of the 3rd ring, and it jumps up to full volume? any ideas? Comments: i accidently accepted a solution to this exact question i posted earlier, it was not helpful, dunno what happened....
nope, increasing ring is not selected, just "ring". when increasing ring is selected, it works as intended.nope, increasing ring is not selected, just "ring". when increasing ring is selected, it works as intended.

when i say "middle of the 3rd ring", i mean it instantly rings full volume in the middle of the ring. its not gradual, it sounds buggy. its real low til the middle of the 3rd ring, then it jumps to full volume.when i say "middle of the 3rd ring", i mean it instantly rings full volume in the middle of the ring. its not gradual, it sounds buggy. its real low til the middle of the 3rd ring, then it jumps to full volume.

Always start from flat( sliders all in the middle) . If you are eqing for feedback open up your microphone volume to where they just start to ring, and then back down just under the point where they ring. SLOWLY and individually slide up slightly each slider one at a time in the range you think the ringing is coming from (low, mids, highs). When the ringing starts to occur back that slider under the middle setting down maybe 3 db to 6 db. Keep repeating this until most all of the ringing stops. The main trick here is to not slide too many sliders below the middle. If you do, you will actually start losing volume in the whole sound system.
If you are eqing the system for the room, gradually add or take down sliders while listening to a band or music. You can be a good judge here by making an adjustment, and then walking around the room to hear the difference. Practice makes perfect here. Keep in mind most speakers will not produce sound below 40hz, so boosting 20hz or so will not help. By the same token most people over 25 can't hear above 12-16khz so the same is true here. Good Luck
Setting Ring Volume...
You can adjust the ring volume when our fax machine is idle. You can set a ring volume or press until the ring is off.
Press to adjust the volume level. Each press of the key will sound the ringer so you will know the volume of the ringer you are selecting. When done, simply stop pushing the buttons and it will be set until you choose to adjust it again.
PROFILE. you can edit it under SETTINGS>>PROFILE. or if that doesn't work, hold the 3rd to the last button on your key pad- "silent". or maybe just press the power button once and choose a different profile.
to turn up the ring volume on the blackjack, there are two on the left hand side above the ear/charger port a UP & DOWN. those i use to adjusted my volume.
It is in the settings... under profile. Edit one of those and select 1-4 or loud to increase ring volume. Or try editing the ringtone on your PC to increase the decibals of the file.
