A week ago we had a brown out then full power outage, since then out 53FDX20B 53 inch Hitachi will not turn on. Is there a simple fix as we do not have a repair shop near by and no way to get the TV delivered to a repair shop.
I have a Hitachi 53FDX20B. The power will not come on. I called in a Tech to repair the set. He removed the DP1X DEFLECTION PWB JK07112 and replaced the Voltage regulator str-f6629b location on the board Ip01 and the horzional output transitor C5681 location Q777 he also replaced the fuse FP05. The set played about 30 minutes after the tech left. I called him and he sad that the Fly Back was bad. I am going to replace all of the parts he replaced plus the fly back. I have ordered all of the parts but the PICO fuse located at FP05. It is light brown with a orange stripe and the numbers 3000 on it. Can someone please tell me what the part number of this component is and if it is actually is a fuse. I would appreciated It. Thanks justmy

I believe they are the voltage supplies for the TWO convergence IC's that this set uses(either STK-392-110 OR STK 392-150---THEY are interchangeable--but the 150 is a better device)
The easiest way to prove if this is your problem is to locate the two chips (black--2 1/2 inch wide X 1 1/2 inch tall with the STK number printed on them IN WHITE)
If someone unsolders all 18 pins on each chip--see if the set will turn on with them out of the circuit (you do not have to remove them--just unsolder both---If the set comes on the convergence will be very bad but you will know one of the chips is bad.
Also if you look at all the resistors around them (most will have location number RK46 etc) see if any of them are discolored or burnt. You find a burnt resistor and it is a sure bet onE of the chips is bad.
BOTH CHIPS NEED TO BE REPLACED!
A pretty easy repair if you have good soldering skills and I can tell you what you will need to do the repair. If replacement of the chips fixes the set it just needs to be adjusted with the Hitachi remote and should not have this problem again for 5-8 years.
