Android 2.1 comes with Flash lite not with Flash. The only way is if your device will support Andorid 2.2 (Froyo). Vodafone put out automatic updates to all its Smart devices.

If account then call vodafone,
if prepay,check sim card is working
also you could turn off your fire wall or set the permission levels on the fire wall to allow it to access the internet,

your anti virus protection levels may need adjusting also

Actually if your MOBO are working fine as of now no need to update the BIOS version. Updating BIOS version may affect some parts of MOBO so no need to update the BIOS version.

did you upgrade/update the software or firmware on the phone after you put your sim card in? a lot of times, with unlocked phones, if you flash them or update certain software/firmware, it resets the phone so it is required that you unlock it again.
