Samsung backlight temporarily flickers like a flash bulb when first turned on. Can still see the whole picture. After 30 mins it stops.

Samsung model un65c6500vfxza backlight will flicker bright when first turned on. After 30 mins it will stop and be normal. Sometimes I can go and change backlight setting and it will stop immediately. Usually selecting dynamic mode helps. Eco is off, power save is off. Its getting annoying and there is 3 circuit boards but not sure which one to replace? (power, t-conn, main) Its only on the upper half of the screen and is like a cameras flash bulb keeps going off. When it stops picture is perfect. Please help!

There are long skinny light tubes behind the screen that use high voltage to operate. What you are seeing is what it looks like right before they fail. They can be replaced, but it is a big job.

SOURCE: Problems with the picture mode on my samsung 46''

Your TV is in DEMO-STORE MODE.
Go to menu, find Plug & Play option, start it, and when asked, select Home Mode, than Enter and than just Exit.

SOURCE: My Samsung LNT3253H LCD TV has suddenly started

Hi,

Its in "Shop Mode".

Change your source to TV (analogue), now press menu>find "Plug and Play" and select it and runs through the setup and selct "Home" prompted and not "Shop".

That should sort its out, when its in shop mode its doesn't matter how many times you make changes, when you power it off it will go back to the original shop settings, this feature was built in to allow shops the have all show TV's to run at optimal settings and if a customer played about with the settings it would matter as they are reset again when the TV is switched off and the store staff don't have to go around resetting all the TV's at the end of the day.

Thanks

If you can solder then you can do this repair. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service, you can get this information here: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Samsung TV No Backlight Issue

Hi Cool,
Please disconnect the bulbs number one and solder a 4200pf/2kv capacitor in its place. See if the set works. Do the same for all the bulbs till you find the defective one. With the defective bulb replaced with 4200pf capacitor set will not power off. If this works and the light on the screen is sufficient, you can leave the capacitor soldered there. I hope it helps.
Good luck.

42inch samsung ln40b550 turn on my television it flickers wildly

This is a common Power Supply / Backlight Inverter Board issue. If you open up your TV you will see a long white board that is on the right side of your TV. You have to replace that board to get this issue fixed. You can find the board here BN44 00264B Samsung Power Supply Backlight Inverter

Samsung ln55c610nf flickers

Ok, if the back light is doing that one of a few possible reasons:

One: Backlight unit failing or bad.
Two: Voltage source to backlight failing or bad.
Three: Circuit in set that controls, triggers and turns that on is bad.

No magic wand here--but fairly straightforward : Check voltage, check on and control of same, if those good replace the Back Light unit.

99% of this is basic trouble shooting

My samsuNg PS42A410C1D has no picture. i cant bring up any menus or anything see anything but it is producing sound

The most likely thing is that your screens backlight or inverter has gone faulty.
When you turn it on, you may be able to see a very very dark image of something (best seen by activating the TV menu). On some screens the picture is still far too dark to be visible though.
With this kind of fault, its down to fitting a new inverter, and if that doesn't cure it, then fitting a new backlight bulb (or bulbs) will sort it out, but these are not jobs that can be done without some expertise at them.
Most TV inverters are large circuit boards inside, and take about 20-30 minutes to change as the whole TV has to be dismantled, but the backlight bulbs are much more complicated (and extremely fragile too).
Unfortunately, there's not much else that can be done except trying changing those 2 parts. Although its possible for the screen cable inside to become disconnected and lose your picture, that results in the screen lighting up brightly (usually pure white if the cable comes off completely).

Samsung 226bw visible flickers just after it is turned on

You may have a faulty inverter or loose power inverter connection. OR
You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.
