My friend and I just did this and it worked. It resets your phone back to factory default settings.
1. Remove SIM card and power up phone.
2. Using the keypad, enter *2767*3855#.
3. Wait 10-15 seconds.
4. Phone will reboot and the settings will be factory settings again.
By the way, posting your IMEI is like posting your social security number. It's unique to your phone. The IMEI number is used by the GSM
network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a
stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone
is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct
them to "ban" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone
useless, regardless of whether the phone's SIM is changed.
Essentially, you're running the risk of someone stealing your IMEI to use it in their phone to make it operable again so they can either use it or sell it.
Hence, you would never post your Social Security number online. Don't post your IMEI.
I have ttried the above steps twice, All it did was speed up the process to lock out my SIM, permanently. According to AT&T, I now have to buy a new SIM card. I have the packaging that came with my SIM card and there is no PUK or other similiarly labled codes. I feel like I just got ripped off by the Telco and the Phone maker. Who would make a phone that was so easy to lock up like that, unless the intent was to lock it up so that the regular joe blow tries to enter information that should work and then ruins his phone. Lame!!!!

Just show up everyday until does work . Do not call at&t on the fone for help. you will burn your quite a bit of time calling 1800 ###"s and spend 4-5 hours sitting on hold all day . No one at at&t knows anything about Locks on a A737 this is all they know eight zeros manufacture Reset, that dosn't even work!!!!! UNREAL!

To get the unlock code for SGH-A737 all u have to do is call at&t and they will give u the unlock code for free thats how i got my unlock code but they won't tell me the unfreeze code
