Check thermal fuse(white fuse on blower housing) and check heat circuit going through timer. Unplug first!

Testimonial: "I checked the thermal fuse and it was dead. I replaced it and tested the new one (working) but same result. I will look up the heat circuit and see if I can figure that out."

Apparently I did that as a testimonial lol. Oops

SOURCE: Tripping of circuit breaker

Check what other appliances are on your circuit. What goes off when the breaker is tripped. You may need to relocate the microwave to a different circuit. Try to stay away from the refrigerator or AC circuits.

SOURCE: None of the Power Windows work.

What you can do is open the drivers door and there is a rubber boot between the door and the body.Peel it back and check the wires. The big wires for the window motors like to break here from the door being open and closed so frequently.Check them over very carefully. If possible slide the rubber boot as far one way or the other so you can see all the wires. You might be getting power to the switch but it might not be going back out.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Testimonial: "The answer was right on. The fix ended up being cheap and easy. Thanks much."

SOURCE: I have a roper dryer

No, reset button on these. It may be the lid switch or the thermal fuse. This is what I find most of the time. Check out the diagram on apwagner.com and you'll see the parts locations. Oh, if it's not the thermal fuse of the lid switch it may be the timer. I've seen this a couple of times.

Briggs and Stratton Elite Generator. It runs but no A.C. current output.

If you have already replaced the voltage regulator and checked the grounding wire, the next step would be to check the circuit breaker.
Here's how you can check the circuit breaker:
  1. Turn off the generator and unplug all appliances connected to it.
  2. Open the generator's control panel to access the circuit breaker.
  3. Check the circuit breaker for any signs of damage, such as burnt or melted parts, or loose connections.
  4. If there is no visible damage, use a multimeter to test the circuit breaker. Set the multimeter to measure resistance (ohms) and touch the probes to the terminals of the circuit breaker. If the circuit breaker is working properly, the multimeter should show zero resistance.
  5. If the circuit breaker is faulty, it will need to be replaced. You can contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance with replacing the circuit breaker.
It is also possible that the generator's stator or rotor has been damaged, which could be causing the lack of AC output. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
Please note that working with electricity can be dangerous and should only be attempted by those with the appropriate training and experience. If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified technician.

Drum turns, air blows but element does not heat up. Circuit breaker panel shows one untripped double breaker for dryer. With dryer running can see 120v coming from control and passing thru sensors (1)...

The element will probably show near-zero resistance and be good. You need 220 volts from the breaker pair--check with an AC voltmeter--and at the two slanted blades in the power socket. If only one breaker in the pair is good, it can show your symptoms. Hope this helps!

Replaced switch but circuit breaker trips on start up ! Mowermm600

Your circuit breaker will trip because of two main reasons:
  • Electrical power point circuit is overloaded (too many appliances active on the same power point circuit)
  • Power Lawn mower has become unsafe as your active live is able to reach your earth connection (e.g. short-circuit). Make sure that you have correctly reconnect ALL your power leads wires (check that the Active and Neutral wires have not been transpose). With power off/device unplug, use a multimeter on resistance range and verify that your active lead pin is not showing a reading against the Earth (middle) pin when the mower switch is turn on or off! There should not be any resistance reading between the Earth and Neutral (opposite pin to Active) pins either!
Hope it helps.

Wont turn on checked outlet and breaker

Check the door switch with an ohmmeter AFTER removing power from the dryer. The switch should read zero ohms when the plunger is pressed into the switch.

What is the fuse # for the power window

On the right side of your glove box, open the passenger door to access compartment #26 30 amp.

As for the power windows, try this.
1.        Measure voltage at 30 amp circuit breaker #26 at fuse block. Meter should read battery voltage. If not, replace or repair open to 60 amp fuse #13 in Power Distribution Center (PDC) as required.
2.        Turn ignition switch to off and measure resistance from ground lug on left side kick panel to ground. Meter read zero ohms. If not, repair open to ground.
3.        Remove master power window switch on left front door. Measure resistance at black wire (terminal one of green connector). Meter should read zero ohms. If not, repair open to ground.
4.        Turn ignition switch to on and measure voltage at terminal 5 of black connector. Meter should read battery voltage. If not, repair open to circuit breaker #26 in fuse block.
5.        Close master window switch. Measure voltage at terminal 1 of black connector. Meter should read battery voltage. If not, replace switch.
6.        Operate window switch. All windows should operate.

Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

My dryer was working fine, then it stopped during the cycle and now it won't even come on at all. I already checked the breakers. What else could it be?

the timer switch is behind the nob you turn it on with some times these do fail they are not expensive at your local appliance parts stores

Electric lawn mower repeatedly trips house circuit breaker

The breaker is tripping because there is a short in the mower electrical circuit -- most likely in the motor winding -- it overheated.

If you have a multimeter measure the resistance (ohms) of the motor winding by putting the meter probes on the two flat prongs of the power cord with the mower switch on. If you get near zero ohms, the winding is shorted -- motor "burned up".

Using the multimeter again, check for continuity between the round ground pin on the power cord and each of the two flat prongs. If you get continuity on either of these, there is a short to the mower chassis. This can probably be corrected without much expense.

My bet is on the motor winding being shorted.

Electric Dryer No-Start/No-Heat

Try check your timer, and see if you have voltage going to motor. Also check to see if you belt is installed. If broken there is a switch to the belt also. Try check you Door Lid Switch.
