SOURCE: I just bought an eclipse
This is a case where this should go back to the store, one option to try is all MP3 players have a reset switch somewhere on the chassis, a safety pin is bigger enough to slip in. When found press and hold for 60 seconds, If this fails take it back because there is nothing more that can be done.

SOURCE: eclipse mp3 player says "no file"
I had the same problem. I think most files that itunes uses are in a .m4a format. The eclipse mp3 player will need all the music files in an .mp3 format. The eclipse actually has a "software" folder that includes the "replay converter" that will convert these files for you - or you can download any number of freeware that will convert the files as well. Once I converted those files, my eclipse played everything. Prior to that - even though I had synced everything with my Windows Media player, I was getting the "No Files" message. Good Luck!

I had the same problem but have now resolved as follows. Turn the top switch to on and connect via USB port. Picture should come on the mp3 player indicating it is connected. For some reason unknown to me in order to charge you need to turn the MP3 player on - but this is impossible if there is no charge. What you need to do now is leave the MP3 player connected like this overnight - it will then have gained enough charge in the morning so that when you then disconnect the MP3 player from the USB lead you are able to actually turn it on. PLEASE NOTE this is not turning on by the switch at the top. What you do it press and hold the circle/dash symbol i.e. at the bottom of the white keypad bit on the front of the MP3 player. As you then let go it comes on. Let it finish turning itself on, then reconnect to the USB lead and leave over night to get a full charge. Good Luck
