My computer is connected and is showing up on my computer. However whenever I try to send something to the printer the same message comes up with there is no communication with the printer. Can you help? We have checked everything and all cords. I have a Mac. Book Pro OSX 10.5+

color light has nothing to do with this, first try once more to reinstall drivers, if still shows wrong printer, then you have to upgrade firmware, because if you installed the correct mc2300w drivers and status monitor tell you wrong printer there can be 2 things. firmware is broken or printer/computer usb port is broken. so if you can use another usb port or another computer try it or LPT cable. and as a laast thing update firmware.
