The light can stay on for a number of reasons .. especially depending on how many features your opener has. If your opener has a lot of features ... take a look at your owners manual and some feature may have been inadvertently activated that keeps the light on.
However ... if everything is set up correctly try the following to help narrow your root cause down.
If you can change the delay time of the light ... reset it to the lowest time value which just helps in troubleshooting. Most are set for 4-5 minutes which is along time to wait if your troubleshooting.
Disconnect power from the unit, and disconnect door control wires from the opener.
Reconnect power only. Light(s) should come on. Allow light(s) to cycle off.
If light(s) turn off after delay time, the problem lies with either the door control or wiring. Continue with next step. If the light stays on, it is the logic board.
Disconnect power from unit. Remove door control from wall, connect to operator via a known good short pair of wires. Reconnect power only. Light(s) should come on. Allow delay time for light(s) to cycle off. If light turns off, it's a wire issue. If not, the door control should be replaced.
E41 means door open or the machine is not able to lock the door
(door delay interlock does not close after 15 seconds).
Possible causes:
door open, door delay interlock, wiring, main PCB.
Hi Jene, there should be a 3 way switch above the rear view mirror to control the lights. The 3 positions are 1.all the way over to one side = Off, 2 in the centre position = Door Open & 3. all the way over to the other side = Always On. There may be a similar switch at the centre dome light. Also have you waited for the light to go out? sometimes these lights are on a time delay. Trust this helps, regards Alan
Also most vehicles will have a delayed acc relay to keep the radio on when the key is turned off & when you open either front door it will go off, if the switches are good,as well as turn on the dome light

To cancel the delay.press the delay pad again when the delay is counting down. The indicator light will go out and the cycle will start or resume immediately.
To cancel the delay and the cycle, press Start/cancel once to drain and turn-off the dishwasher.
Press Start/cancel twice to turn-off the dishwasher without draining.
