Boot manager is missing on Satellite A105-S2051 laptop

Anything that the reps from Acronis did that you no longer want (together with all the information on the hard drive) can be got rid off by wiping the partition information on the hard drive. You will be given just such an option when you begin to install Windows 7 by booting off your Windows 7 installation DVD. You should not get any MBR error messages if you have correctly booted off an installation DVD. The errors you are getting indicates you are still trying to boot from a hard drive (that is probably "wiped clean" or new, and does not have an operating system installed).

Hi
have you tried going into the cmos settings to try and disable the password,
sometimes you can take out the cmos battery out to clear the password.

You may have to replace the hard drive, but the password may still be in the bios.

You can also google the problem and see if any one else was able to resolve the issue.

cheers

Acer Asper PC notebook Booting+ NTL Driver missing

USB cd-rom's are pretty inexpensive. Here's a page of examples:

https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics-External-CD-Drives/zgbs/electronics/1292121011

Or you could put a Hirens boot disk on a USB thumb drive and run it. There are articles how to repair that error message. Do a Google search for "NTLDR Missing".

Blank screen on aspire 4330 model jal90

This normaly happens due to a failing Hard disk. By this i mean the booting files, responsible for normal start up of your computer have been modified or deleted. Or it can also be a result of a dropped hard disk. For you to fix this, boot your computer using Error Rescue Disk(ERD). You can get it from the Microsoft website. Its an image, burn it to a cd and boot the computer with that cd. When your computer is booted up, go to start, then Administrative Tools, then Explorer. Make a back up by copying your data to a removable media.(external Hard drive or flash drive). Then go to Erase Disk/ Disk wipe. This will let you clean up your hard drive. Restart your computer with an Operating system disk in it and boot from it to install a new operating system. NOTE: Make sure you download ERD commander 2007 if you are using Xp, and ERD Commander 2010 if you are using Vista or Windows 7

Xbox will not load up, has a red light glowing. screen displaying; contact xbox support Error E 79

Do a quick check to see if your Xbox will start up without the hard drive connected. If it does, you'll probably need to replace your hard drive. If you still get the error message, try the following: Clear Any Failed system updates that cause the console to error. 1. With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one) 2. While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console 3. Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely. 4. During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. file\boot\bcd status 0xc000014c info an error occurred while reading the boot configuration data.

Check the hardware connectivity of your Hard drive and Cd rom drive. Check if the wires are plugged properlyand are not loose. This error is generally thrown when your system is not able to find the boot sector in other words it is not able to find all he information (all necessary file pointers, kernel info And Master Boot Record etc) which it needs to start the system.

In most cases this is a temporary issue and occurs due to loose connections of the cables from Hard drive or CD Rom ( if the system is being booted up from CD).

Want to sell presario 700 how do I clean out the hard drive remove all my information

Very simple process. Go into your bios and make sure it is set to boot from the floppy drive first. You can go online to bootdisks.com and download a windows 98 boot disk. Jut copy it to the floppy and boot from the floppy. This will bypass your windows start up and start in dos mode. Once booted up, just type in the following:
format c: and your hard disk will be formatted and wiped clean

Want to totally clean hard drive to sell computer

All hard drive manufacturers have utilities you can download from their web sites that will write all zeros to your hard drive from a bootup environment.

Then if you get a hold of a copy of Hiren's Boot CD, you boot to this from your CD/DVD drive and select Hard Drive utilites and there is a program called wipe disk.

A free program called GDISK, will wipe a drive according to DOD standards. It doesn't com with a boot loader you can use to boot from your CD/DVD drive, you need to use Nero Express to create a bootup disc using the built in boot image from Nero, add GDISK to it and then once you've booted up, you type the command
gdisk /?
And you will subsequently see command line codes to do a disk wipe. Through trial and error you'll get this right unless you are already comfortable with command line structure.

Hiren's is the best tool and invaluable to have around.
You can find the home page for it here.
