Your TV is an "HD-Ready" television. What this means is that your TV is ready to accept HD input from an outside source, but doesn't have the ability to produce the content itself. It is a monitor and does not have a digital tuner. Without a digital tuner (or for cable a QAM tuner) you will not receive OTA broadcast HD.
You need to purchase a High Definition capable set-top converter box. The converter box will have HD component out and may have HDMI out, either will feed your HD Ready TV.

THE BEST INPUT ON YOUR SET IS THE HDMI INPUT.2ND THE COMPOSITE INPUT. 3RD THE COMPONENT INPUT. AND 4TH THE ANTENNA INPUT. MOST DISH BOXES HAVE AT LEAST THE COMPONENT OUTPUT. YELLOW IS THE VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO. USE RCA CABLES TO GO FROM BOX TO LCD SET. ON THE DISH BOX YOU CAN GO FROM ANTENNA OUT TO THE CABLE OR ANTENNA IN ON THE LCD. SWITCH TV TO CHANNEL 3. AND TURN YOUR DISH BOX ON.

Common problem on these sets are many many bad caps on the digital board. Repair kits are available for these containing the necessary parts if you're savvy with a soldering iron. Otherwise, replacement of the digital board is necessary and you'll have to contact either Maxent or a local repair shop. Tracking down which caps are bad can be difficult even with the right equipment as some tend to check good while in circuit when they are actually bad.

Your Maxent MX-42EPM20 is not a TV (Television) it is a Plasma panel. The difference being your Panel does not a TV Tuner (no Coax jack or electronics relating to a tuner) Below is the spec sheet that shows this

You can use a cable box or a cheap Digital TV receiver. You can buy them at walmart, You need one with A/V out puts such as Component. Here is a link to one. This will give you a tuner.
