Or just download the files from:
http://rapidshare.com/files/199500501/kyofs2000d_firm.zip.html

extract all files from the zip, keeping folder structure intact.
Place all files/folders on a fat32 formatted flash disk. plug into printer usb port, turn on. The screen on the printer should say something re firmware or something (ie different from normal boot). then, once its settled down, turn off, remove flashdisk and power on again.
Corrupt firmware will now have been replaced.
If issue recurs, do it again. (Until you get sick of doing it and just replace the printer)
If it keeps happening, suspect dry solder joint on mainboard - probably not an easy or cheap fix.
seems to be heat related.
ie, will often work until it is power cycled and then turned back on again, it fails....

hope this helps

Error Code 6000 is fuser code, you need to replace the fuser unit, make sure there is no paper stucking there first!

I have a kyocera FS-2000D with error code: Call for service 0150:0000049. Help...thanks in advance

Error code 0150 is an engine EEPROM communication error. The engine board might need to be replaced. I have heard that sometimes a defective developer unit could cause this same error code. I would try swaping a develper from a working FS-2000D first.

I have a kyocera FS-2000D with error code: Call for SErvice 0150:0000049. Help...thanks in advance

0150 is a problem with either the engine board or the EEPROM chip that sits on the engine board. If you want to do it yourself, you can open the printer up and reset the chip on the board as well as reset all of the connectors that plug into the board. Otherwise, your best bet is to call a Kyocera service technician.

Regardin kyocera FS-2000D

The files called 2000sys.zip & 2000_eng.zip I beleive, if that helps. I bet after you have updated the firmware, you will find the serial number absent from status page, muz get corrupted when the engine firmware chucks the 150 error, Just thought I'd say although is not norm a problem

Oh, It only ever does the 150 once, never if firmware is updated.
