Your card may not be seated properly. The metal cover (called the "shrapnel" in the Cubot video) slides up a sixteenth of an inch or so to "unlock" it. After it is slid up slightly, it can be hinged open. Conversely, after the sim card is inserted, the metal cover must be hinged down then slid a sixteenth of an inch or so to lock it into place. I used a wooden toothpick to push it around. I also had to buy a micro SIM card adapter for my mini SIM card (the smallest one is called a "mini" not a micro) to get it to fit into the slot in my CUBOT King Kong.

SOURCE: SIM card registration failed

You might have filled up the memory to the brim and the phone doesn't have enough to switch on.
Try reformat to original settings. anything you stored on the phone will be lost.

How to reformat your phone, first turn it OFF. Press * 3 send at the same time and keep them pressed while you turn the phone on.
Give it time to work.

Remember, do not let go the 3 keys until you see the formatting screen.
After a few minutes when the process is over, your Nokia N70 will be back to the original delivered system.

SOURCE: Fake SciPhone 168+, Can not receive calls

calls are blocked, or do they jsut end when you answer, or somone else answers? if this is the problem you will have to turn the auto end off.Main menu => Calls => General call settings => More => Auto quick end = turn OFF
If the above menu path is not correct, then just look on your phone to find the General call settings where ever
they may be, as some firmware may have a slightly different menu system.

Cubot king kong 5, when I turn it on it asks 4a "privacy protection password". I did not set 1 up, never even heard of that. what can I do or where can I go 2get this solved?

If your Cubot King Kong 5 is asking for a "privacy protection password" when you turn it on, and you did not set one up, it is likely that the device has been locked by someone else who has set a password. In this case, you will not be able to access the device without the password.
There are a few possible solutions to this problem, depending on the specific circumstances:
  1. If you are the owner of the device and you did not set a password, you may be able to reset the device to its factory settings. This will erase any personal data and settings on the device, including the password. To reset the device, you will need to follow the specific instructions for your model of Cubot King Kong 5. You can find these instructions in the user manual or by searching online.
  2. If you are not the owner of the device and you do not know the password, you may be able to contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician for assistance. They may be able to help you unlock the device or reset the password.
  3. If the device is locked and you are unable to reset it or unlock it, you may need to purchase a new device. It is not possible to bypass the privacy protection password on a device without the correct password.
In conclusion, if your Cubot King Kong 5 is asking for a privacy protection password and you did not set one up, you may be able to reset the device or contact the manufacturer for assistance. However, if you are unable to reset the device or unlock it, you may need to purchase a new device.

The photo for the king kong cell phone shows what appears to be the metal lifted. I do not know how to open it because it is so flimsy.

Conversely, after the sim card is inserted, the metal cover must be hinged down then slid a sixteenth of an inch or so to lock it into place. I used a wooden toothpick to push it around. Whenever i want to install a software downloaded from the net, it shows certificate error? what can i do??

You need signed applications(nokia 5800 compatible Applications
1) Make your phone memory backup data using nokia pc suit 7.1(very important)
2) After that remove your Micro sd card from mobile..
3) Remove your SIM card also(very important)
4) press *#7370# and unlock code to format your phone memory(yap.. this is safe default is 12345)
5) You will lose all your important date with this action...so make a backup of your phone memory
6) Now nokia 5800 xm will reboot.....wait for a minute....
7) Then select your country region as "Hong Kong"
Cool Set the current time......(set your phone to offline mode)_
9) Now you can put that Micro sd card ......
10) And don;t insert that SIm card right now...just wait....and try to install any supported singed application (E.G-nokia handwriting calculator)
11) And you may install any singed application ......
12) After that just install your Sim Card.
