  • rainroosty Feb 19, 2008

The question IS: After plugging the Sansa C-250 into the
computer's USB port, can you turn the Sansa OFF, leaving it with a
blank screen, or do you need to leave it ON, with the lit-up active
    screen on?

Seems to me that it would charge faster with the screen OFF, but I don't know if it's charging at all then!

Charged it one time only so far...left it, with screen ON,
charging for about 14 hours (!!!!).....wife used it less than 2 hours
and battery was dead. It is a new Sansa.

i just bought this mp3 off of my friend, and it was brand new, had never been used except for the radio. i first tried to charge it on my computer and when i came back about 2 hours later, i unplugged it expecting it to be a little more charged. turns out it was completely dead. i tried charging it through the wall charger that came with it and it only fills the battery bar about half way even when you charge it for hours on end. then when you go to listen to it, it only lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. i dont know whats going on. could somebody describe to me what the mp3 screen should look like, or if the player needs to be on or off.

You can charge it by connecting it to the computer.

Otherwise, you can buy a car charger or a wall charger.

Best of Luck.

Not charging

Try connecting directly to USB port on your computer, NOT a hub. It needs power to charge.

Deleting individual songs

Connect the Sansa to the computer.
On the computer, Go into Start --> all Programs --> Windows Media Player
When Windows Media Player is open, make sure you have version 10 or 11.
Find the icon of your Sansa on the left-hand side - click the plus sign next to the Sansa
Click on the songs folder
Click on a song name
Hit "delete" on your keyboard
The song is erased.

For instructions WITH pictures, go to www.microsoft.com and enter "Windows Media Player help" as your search term

Broken lol

Try a hard reset.

Press and hold vol + and select for 20 seconds.

If that doesnt work, you can try holding the power button for 30 seconds.

Try to restart after either trial.

If that doesnt work, you can call support and they can troubleshoot it for you.
