SOURCE: Globalmap 2000 sonar not responding

Not enough info to diagnose your problem. It sounds like a networking problem. I couldn't find a manual for the sam-st module so I'm not sure how you have it hooked up. Typically with these devices only one would be hooked up to the SONAR module, and it would then share the data with the other display via an ethernet or NMEA2000 network. The erratic behavior of your bluewater could be due to some sort conflict with the current coming from the GlobalMap2000. Do you get the same problem when the 2000 is turned off? Have you tried running the GlobalMap2000 with the bluewater turned off?

SOURCE: First time run, everything mounted correctly,

So the depth is flashing and you don't see any bottom return at all, right?

Are you in the water, or trying it out before you put the boat in the water?
If you are not in the water, try it out in the water because it can be difficult to get any kind of return out of the water.

Try resetting the X67c to factory defaults:
1. Turn unit off
2. Press and hold the down arrow key
3. Press PWR while still holding the down arrow key, the unit will enter production test mode. Let go of the down arrow key
4. Press EXIT 5 times
5. Press ENT and the unit will shut off

Turn it back on and if you still have the same problem, depth flashing 0.0 or 0.5 or 60 probably and no bottom, then a good bet would be a bad transducer.

Go to settings and either change the depth using the icon DownScreen/Down Imaging and turn off. Or go to com and follow Doctor Sonar on Facebook and read the tutorial articles on understanding sonar. Or google doctorsonar.com

Lowrance troubleshooting

Pay attention if depth readings shift during times when moving from spot to spot at higher speeds. If this is the case then you have air bubbles disrupting your sonar signal causing inaccurate readings or a loss of bottom lock for the unit. If over this weeds in shallow water, this at times creates havoc with sonar readings because of the wide variance of signal returns.
check the voltage at the head unit. You should have a minimum of 11.7 volts. 12.5 to 13.5 is optimal
lower power input can affect the overall performance of your unit.

How do I get water depths displayed on my C70

You haven't said if you have a DSM fitted ( sonar unit and tranducer) the C70 is only a multifunction display unit MFDU you then put a card in for navigation, a radar aerial/ scanner or a sonar unit for depth and fish finding .
if you have a sonar unit and it's working then
press Presentation
press Depth Digit and select on / off
press OK or cancel to return to the default display
hope this helps

How do i find water depth

Water depth should show automatically on your sonar page.
if it does not then either you have selected "stop sonar" under your sonar options or you have opted to turn off the depth displayou so the numbers don't show up.
if you areally viewing your GPS or split screen sonar/GPS page, sometimes the depth display is not visible on these pages unless you specifically instruct the unit to display it.

Here is a link to Lowrance where you can download a pic version of the operators manual.
Go to page 11 "overlay data" this will give you a step by step of how to add data or readouts to different screens.

My fishfinder will not continue to read shallow depths as well as in shallow depths when drifting and occasionally running across the water. My unit is a lowrance 522c color gps/fishfinder.

Hello. Your observation is spot on and it is actually a characteristic that is always true when using sonar. Yes, your Lowrance uses the same sonar as a nuclear powered submarine does. The two factors you focus on, water depth and boat speed are perhaps, the two biggest factors when it comes to the quality of the fishfinder. The boat's engine should be in gear at an idle or just above. Experiment with your boat to find the best throttle location for good arches. Usually, a slow trolling speed works best. The depth of the fish can determine if the fish will arch on the screen. If the fish is in shallow water, the fish is not in the cone angle very long, making it difficult to show an arch. Typically, the deeper the fish, the easier it is to show an arch.
