My olympus will chime and only come up in the "play mode"

Most wireless door chimes have a button that plays a sample of each chime in the memory each time it is pressed. The button must be pressed until the required chime iis played and if the button isn't pressed again, that will be the selected chime whenever someone is outside wanting to come in.

Put the batteries in the door chime. To transfer an MP3 to the door chime, connect it to a computer with a USB cable. Open the folder to view files and drag the new (short, <= 20 seconds long) tune into the folder. Eject the door chime (like any USB hard drive) and remove the USB cable from the door chime.

Next press the Tune button to cycle through the tunes on the door chime for the front door chime. Stop when the desired tune is played. That will be played any time the front chime is pressed. If you add the jumper to pin 8, the door chime will ding as that is the rear rear door sound. For the front door, make sure that the switches (1-7) on the push button match those for the door chime.

How do u record for hours if need be and can you record for hours on HQ mode?

Enter your code and the 9. This turns on chime mode. If it still does not chime the zone is not programmed for a entry exit or perimeter zone.

In playback mode press >ok< select >mode menu< with the 4-arrow-pad, then select >card< then >card setup< then press the PLAY button below the arrow pad. Select >all erase< with the up/down buttons of the 4-arrow-pad and then press OK (the button beside the PLAY button). Confirm by selecting >yes< with the up/down button and press OK button again.
It's also a good habit to get into, to format the card after deleting the images (you can also just format the card - that will also delete all photos). To format the card start as above (Mode menu; card; card setup; press PLAY). Select >format< with up/down buttons then press OK. Select >yes< and press OK.

you need to press the scn button (just to the left of the speaker) and keep pressing until you get to movie mode then press the play button to select it (Just underneath scn button) and then you should be o.k.

Hi, the solution to the problem seems to be the following. When u press play, once, you get 1x play. If whilst playing you press play a second time the DS-30 goes into slow play mode, and if you press a second time it goes into fast mode. For those of us who accidentally went into either fast or slow mode, just press the play button again, during playback, until "play" appears on the LCD screen. Apparently it is as simple as that.
