Hi

There are several reasons this is happening. Check the cable on both ends. Make sure there is no sign of damage either in the cable or the computer/printer connector. I see at least one a day where the printer cable is plugged into a damaged USB port. Printer fire wire ports do break off their mother board too. The other possibility is that you're temporarily losing your USB ports on the computer. At Start, goto run and type SFC /scannow. This program will try to reinstall all the original protected files. Have you original operating system disks handy because if SFC finds files missing then it will ask for these disks. Good Luck

I keep getting the message "connecting to computer" on Samgsung SH100

Disconnect the camera, remove the battery and after a few moments reinsert the battery. Then switch on again.
When you charge the battery in the camera, the camera could think it is connected to a PC, because the USB cable is inserted. It could be you are using a USB cable, that not came with the camera. If the error keeps coming back buy an external (Universal) charger, to charge your battery. Modern universal charges can charge almost every camera battery on the market. In the long run, it is better for the camera and for the battery, when you charge in an external charger.
Keep the contacts clean with a dry cloth.

Network cable not properly plugged in or may be broken

which OS do you have? XP, Vista, 7, etc. you must have a wireless adapter in your PC to use wireless and it must be enabled.
if not wireless, then you must have an ethernet slot with cable(CAT5) inserted from internet modem/router. if you have a laptop then you have wireless available. there is a key on keyboard to turn wireless on. you have to have your Network assigned to the wireless internet provider too. if you have cable(cat5) connected to a modem or router/modem connection, and you see an ethernet icon in your lower right corner window(looks like a little computer display), then you have an ethernet connection. if not then either the cable is bad or the modem/router is not producing a connection to pc. thats alot i know but i have little knowledge about your internet connection on your pc. you have not given that to me to use

I cannot tranfer pictures to my computer. I keep getting a message that there is a "communication error" every time I turn on the camera after plugging it into the computer with a USB cable. ...

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I keep getting a connection Error Message. Please Check that USB cable is connected and power switch is turnedl. I just upgraded to a new computer from and older model computer

Make sure you're plugging the USB cable from the machine intoa USB port in the BACK of your computer, not one of the front ports or a porton a USB hub. The cable and machine need more power than most of those portsprovide, a technical detail that Singer doesn't realize. If you're using a laptop, keep trying different USB ports until you find one that works. Good luck!

I'm trying g to connect my Dell AIO 922 printer to

You need to go to Control Panel add/remove programs and remove all Printer programs. Then disconnect the USB cable, install the printer software until a message comes up that says plug in your printer. If no message comes up, complete the software installation and then plug in the USB cable. The computer should find the printer at this time.

I keep getting a Protector reding on my screen and it will not let me do anything. What do I do to fix this?

Try disconnecting everything (speakers cables, signal cables, all other units) except the power cord, then turn the unit on, if the protector message persists, then the fault is in the reciever.

If this is the case, you should check the speaker and signal connectors for any damage, shorts or loose solder contacts, also check the unit for any shorted or broken wires, loose wire connections, bad solder contacts on connector pins, bad solder contacts on ANY other components (give some extra attention to the components that tend to warm up while they operate, like main power amp transistors / ICs, voltage regulators, power resistors, diodes, also coils, capacitors, etc). Any loose solder connections should be resoldered.

If there's no message when you've disconnected the outside equipment, you have either a bad speaker, a bad speaker cable, a bad signal interconnection cable, or a fault in any of the units that were connected to the reciever. You can find which one is the cause by turning the reciever off, then connecting one cable or unit, turning the reciever on again, see if there's a message, if there's none, turn it off again, connect the next unit / cable and so on, until you get the protector message. The cable or unit that will make the message appear is most probably the cause for the trouble (there might be loose solder connections on other units' cable connectors or other components). When you plug and unplug the cables many times, with time this will loosen the solder connection on the pins inside the unit, so these need to be resoldered.

Hope you can find out what it is.

Screen is shaky

Often such symptoms are caused by interference.

Try separating cables from other cables, keeps speakers, phones etc away from the display, and try plugging power into a different circuit.

If none help, update the video drivers or connect the display to someone else's computer.

If the issue does not exist on another computer and you have done all the things above, the problem is likely a bad video card or power supply.

A730 camera

easiest way to download from the camera is to just take out the SD card and plug it into your SD card slot on your computer if your computer has the slots else buy a card reader to plug into your comp (they are really cheap these day just a couple of pounds) this is the way most people do it these days because even if you get a trouble free cable connection between camera and computer then install the required software etc etc it is too long winded for a very simple task
