For ham use which that DX model is for. the FM is preset and cannot be changed with adjustments. SSB andAM can be changed. But from factory should be good settings for amateur use.

SOURCE: Have low speaker volume on

have you been tried to adjust the volume in full, if it was already adjusted in the volume label then the volume still the same, possible is you have a bad component part like a transistor and the amplifier ic ( integrated circuit ). if you can open the unit then look for that part turn on then after a while turn off then touch if too hot that is mean their is a shorted. hope this may help thanks.

I got a rci-2960f cb radio does any body know anything about this radio it has a big heat ink on the botton does any body know wat watts it was putting out

The radio has a heat sink as it has a amp built into it--about 100 watts maximum output---get someone with a DUMMY load and watt meter and see what it is putting out power wise--Most of the RCI have a variable control on the front for power output.

Radio comes on numbers do not show, beeps all the time

What kind of radio is it.. RCI?? or other.. IF its a rci 2950 stlye there is a pin on the panel of the radio inside. this will reset it back to 28mhz. then put it back, it may work. if it doesn't it will be a more major problem possibly.
